I agree with Sam on his last statement; Hiro and Daphne being compared to Batman and the Joker is getting REALLY old. I seriously doubt that Daphne's going to be that much of a nemesis to Hiro; I'm inclined to reserve that designation to Adam Monroe. And, their powers don't cancel each other out. When he stops time, she just moves at normal pace. She doesn't cancel his power; it just doesn't apply to her like it would to someone else.

Hmmm...I agree with Shatterhand. Adam Monroe is definitely Hiro's nemesis. Daphne looks kinda annoying. But that's just me.

For the love of God, that pretty little blonde Daphne is no Joker. Whoever started this Hiro and Daphne equals Batman and the Joker thing is seriously mistaken.

How does she move at normal speed when he stops time, he's still freezing/stopping time so she shouldn't be able to move? I don't get it, makes no sense to me. I don't see the logic. If anything I would have thought she would be stretched across a location (dunno how that'd work) somehow but still frozen. If she can still move when he's stopped everything (which I'm still not entirely convinced of cos in the first behind the scenes video she was acting frozen as Hiro was looking at her having frozen time) then they've ruined Hiro's powers as far as I'm concerned, and made them stupid.
Adam is a far better nemesis (until we know the reason why she is bothering Hiro, which currently I can't imagine, Adam has far better reason to hate Hiro), plus I reckon she's Adam's bride so that would explain why she's all of a sudden getting involved in Hiro's life (why else would anyone hate him, he's lovely?!).
I think the only reason they keep going on about the Batman and Joker thing is cos the Dark Knight is coming out (cos they don't sound like a good comparison otherwise). Either that or someone said it and everyone jumped on the bandwagon cos they couldn't think of a better pair to compare them to.

Just thought a better way for her to be able to slow would be if he slowed time (like when he stole what he thought was the sword from the museum). Like I said, otherwise I don't get it. :(

i agree, it is kinda lame that she can move through space when hiro freezes time. but hero can control time, as sezza said he slows it down when he's stealing the sword from the museum also in the 1st season when hiro and ando are hiding in the luggage compartment in the bus and hope comes at them with a gun and pulls the trigger, he makes time go backwards and the bullet goes backwards!!! so maybe they are using that as the balance.

Sezza, ever see the movie Clockstoppers? I'm thinking it works like that. maybe Hiro isn't stopping time, but in fact just slowing it down to the point where it appears that way. all normal activity appears frozen but are in fact just moving Very slowly. maybe daphine can move so fast that it doesn't matter.

No I've not seen 'Clockstoppers' I'm afraid. If that is what's happening it totally changes what we've been told is Hiro's power. Cast and writers have always said he's STOPPING time and have never mentioned him controlling it's speed every single time (except in the museum). If that is the case then I believe they've changed his power and I'll be disappointed by such a change (I'd never want Hiro's powers, I'd rather have Monica's, but they are still very cool as they are/were). I'm still a little hopeful as I said the behind the scenes thing she had frozen and the newest promo we could see her movement kind of frozen and him moving through it so I think he can still control her (I don't believe the 'cancelling out' thing). I'm still just relying on the writing, hopefully it'll be so good I won't care.

ya i dont get the whole moving regularly thing either it should just be she can move so fast that when ever she comes shes so fast that hiro doesnt even have time to react of freeze time but then again if she comes then goes then hiro could just stop time and walk right up to her and get whatever she stole from him i like the new character i just dont like how they are putting her up against hiro. hiro is still learning how to fully control his power to so im not liking this match up too much i hope they either not have it go on to long or write it in very well..

I think what they mean is that she'll be his Joker in the sense that it doesn't matter how much he fights her they will never beat each other... The only explanation I can think of for her not being frozen is Hiro's powers don't work the way we think they do, he probably doesn't stop time per se but slows it down enough so it just seems like it stopped.
