tracy was the fakeout death. so there is one more major character that is left to die this season. c ya nathan!
  • Tarot · 8 months ago
What I don't get is why the Behind the Eclipse crew said Tracy was dead.
  • haitian sensation · 8 months ago
you have to look at what they said exactly 'Traci is dead. Unless you can come back from the dead after slushing into the sewers.' thats exactly how she's going to come back

I LOVE THE WAY THINGS HAVE BEEN MOVING FORWARD IN HEROES THESE LAST COUPLE EPISODES JUST ALITTLE WORRIED ABOUT THIS LIL' MATT PARKMAN MESSING UP WHAT SHOULD BE AN EPIC FIGHT BETWEEN PETER AND SYLAR... I WANT A FIGHT NOT A "YOUR POWERS ARE GONE" BAM BULLET TO THE HEAD END.

What do you think Sylar is going to do to unravel HRG's life? We know Claire isn't going anywhere. Any ideas?
  • Tarot · 8 months ago
Good question... maybe he'll show up as HRG and really make Sandra angry with HRG.
  • SomeGuy · 8 months ago
Nathan's not going to die. He's destined to become President. We've seen too many futures where he's a corupted President and then dies after that. So he won't die until after he becomes president. But you never know, maybe they'll stay true to thei tradition of making Nathan "Kenny" by making it seem like he dies in the season finale and then come back the next season.

No, I'm totally kiding about Nathan being president, he could for sure die this season. Though I hope he doesn't, personally.
  • UnsungHero · 8 months ago
Haha! I never thought about it, but there definitely is a pattern of "killing" Nathan. The way you've brought it up also has me wondering if the writer's will stay on that pattern or not.
At the risk of sounding like a Fuller Fanboy, I'd also comment that I wouldn't be surprised if Fuller noticed the pattern while it just as easily flew over most of the other writers' heads!
    Good observation!

I bet He will change himself to HRG and screw up HRG's life as a revenge.
  • Alyssa · 8 months ago
I really hope they kill HRG. He's literally repeated the exact same story episode for episode every season. It's getting old.
  • UnsungHero · 8 months ago
I don't know...depending on where they go with HRG being family-less, his character could take on a whole new dynamic. He could become EVEN more ruthless out of bitterness for the family his job has cost him--yet of course, said job is all he really knows. He could again be more formidable because he doesn't have as much to focus on, or, as Cold Snap implied with the parallel Danko/HRG shaving references (as commented on by Fuller in the commentary version of the ep), he could basically show signs of losing his cool and control.

Any of those possibilities, if properly explored, could bring a bit of the new depth to his character you may have been hoping for.

To me, HRG is much like Angela Petrelli...the more you think you know, the more you realize you might not know. There always seems to be another layer...
  • noor · 8 months ago
What about Sylar Alyssa?? He's repeated himself more than anyone and if he does anything new tht's just so futile and ....
  • Michael · 8 months ago
...but what about Peter??? Is he going to regain his original power or mayby evolve this one? Come on tell us something :)
  • steven · 8 months ago
the ratings are still down, even if he is good he will struggle to compensate for the poor writing for everyone else.
  • Max Power · 8 months ago
Tracy Strauss was a horrible character. She betrayed everyone who ever helped her. Let her die.

If you are going to resurrect anyone, bring Nikki back. She was much better.

I still don't think these decisions should be up to only one writer, no matter how good this particular writer may be.

And, honestly, who cares whether she was blinking or winking, come on... This is ridiculous.
  • Jason · 8 months ago
@Max Power: Nikki/Jessica was just as bad as Tracy as far as being a liar and betraying people.

One writer works on the episode, but several writers look it over and give feedback and suggestions.
  • bread · 8 months ago
i disagree, i think nikki was better :P she looks so hot when she breaks doors and do super strong. about nikki, since all she had was a personality disorder how come every time she turns bad ass is the only time the symbol comes out from her back?? i think tracy should have a symbol too since they're clones
  • rockie · 8 months ago
Both Niki/Jessica , and tracy are both awesome characters. It was awesome and I am so happy they started Tracy as a huge backstabbing, will do anything to get on top personality, it makes her revolation of her talking to her nephew about her changing and when she risked everything to save Micah. That is good tv. Niki should come back and Barbara should be the nxt villain after Sylar and she should have a bad ass power. Then there should be a huge battle against Niki and Tracy against Barbara. That would be cool.

The only thing that I know is this Bryan Fuller guy better bring heroes back to what it was. I still love the show but it was missing that certain something. I think what brought the show together was the individuality of the situations and collaborations. You have to make it all work past and present. Still tons of unanswered questions and story flaws due to writers strike and all. For instance.

Why was there a Nikki/Jessica? Why shouldn't she be like Mohinder? Just a person with super strength?

Why doesn't Peter have the same power? Since he has a genetic footprint it should be the same.

I figured Mohinder would be somewhat like Spiderman. He was like a bug strong, scale walls, and spin a web. Not only that he can make cocoons out of people like a spider. Even the writes said they wanted for his character to be reminiscent of the movie The Fly. So why does he just have super strength? Should he at least be able to scale walls? I mean after all his dna was alter by Mayas blood. So the new injection should have took away some of the side affects but not all.

The whole Matt reuniting with his wife and kid is cool. Only if you never introduced Daphne or the painting of them getting together and having a kid along with Molly. Then only just to kill her off and wipe the slate clean is kind of lame. Matt having the power to paint the future is lame. It needs a whole lot more explaining.

Point blank Ando having a power is awesome. Hiro not having his full power is lame. He said he would never go to the past to change anything. He didn't even want to do it to catch the precognitive (painter). So if they thought it confused us they took away the whole future past thing. So that would leave Hiro with power to stop time and travel to different places (teleport). So I only see this working a few ways for him to get his power back. Ando supercharging Hiro when baby Matt "turns him on". Or supercharging the baby Matt while turning Hiro on. Either way I think that would stick Hiro power to on and move on.

I Hope the Sylar's Dad comes back and challenges Sylar (Gabriel). I think he would make a great villian for him. For instance Sylar is a bad ass and so is his dad. It would be great to see to like minds go at it. Like Matt and his father having the same ability. Its like a race for the finish. Sylar and his dad's hunger tell them to take all the special people out. All his dad needs is a clue to Clair (or her blood) so he can regenerate and get back in the game. Plus they are way strong with their powers. So far with Peter out the game so to speak. Sylar is at top of the food chain. It makes sence to give Peter his ability back or bring in a villain for Sylar to "worry about".
  • karen · 8 months ago
anyone else think it was wrong to give sylar his new 'shape shifting ability?with that one hes pretty much unstoppable i would of thought, and danko lettin him take it?!!!!doesnt seem right to me.
  • Alex · 8 months ago
I read the whole interview, and he really seems to understand what was wrong with the show: the fact that plot became more important than character, and what became wrong with some characters. And he seems to really want to fix that, which is great.
I'm excited to see how the rest of this season wraps up.
I read somewhere the apparently Micah, Monica and Claude (!) will be back for the season finale, so that should really be interesting.
  • SomeGuy · 8 months ago
I hope those characters come back, I thought they were great. Well, I thought Monica's ability was great, but the other two are great actors in my opinion.

For the Peter losing his "original" power, it was explained before that the writer's didn't want to complicate things to much by having Hiro, Peter, and Sylar too powerful (although Matt seems to be going there, and I have my own theory that the writer's proved themselves wrong about Sylar's abilities being destroyed) so they stripped them down. I like the fact that Peter still has the ability to copy other's abilities albeit only one at a time. It starting his character over to someone who started off small and wanted to be greater to help people and that's what he's trying to do and I think he will eventually get his full powers back.

As for Danko letting Sylar kill the shapeshifter, well, it's Sylar. Danko and do **** all so there's really no choice lol. But the chapshifter in actuality was the perfect choice for that character. Danko needed a way to show that Sylar was dead and that he was making progress, so that ending I thought was great. It was also Sylar's reward for helping Danko, which he hopes he will keep doing until they both get what they want; all other "specials" dead.

anyone else think that by the end of this season they'll all just try and live lives without powers (like the incredibles) but it doesn't work? they should all go back to who they were in s-1, take claire back to odessa and see how many questions from old classmates it takes before she jumps off the gravel tower again?

I'll tell you exactly what is missing in the show from my perspective, the lack of elaboration from the characters about there abilities, lack of creativity on ways of manipulating powers. Nathan has super sonic flight...Shouldn't he have a healing factor or a kind of invulnerability like being able to absorb a hit from an impact since with flight he is susceptible to hitting objects at full force, pressure; he travels faster than sound but the g forces don't crush him, oxygen; the higher he flys the less air there is maybe adaptable or reduced oxygen intake or maybe super fighting; leveraging the air to deliver insane punches and kicks? These are things that need more elaboration. Is he an elemental like the weather witch? Does it start off as flight and then become weather manipulation?

Is tracy the same as Nathan? or is her power strictly over water just starts off as ice, maybe changing the water to steam or ice? How was Peter able to mimic Nikki and DL but not Micah or Molly? Are all these things really necessary to keep secret? Be a little clearer on Sylars powers so we aren't arguing that he has the powers he had in season one. Most importantly when somebody does something make the character ask the question how did you do that or what did you do to him or her and I don't know is not answer. Here's one If you future self came to you and had a serious scar on his face, wouldn't you say how do we get the scar and why. The answer would be the norm like, I can't tell you but it's important that it happens but not asking the question doesn't fit with anybody's character. End rant.

i wish heroes had some mpore great fight scenes Buffy the Vampire slayer managed one almost every episodei appreciate that the buffy fights didnt cost so much to do, but fights between Ali Larters character of Micahs mom, against loads of ninjas or somthin lol, would only require stunt coirdinators and some wire work (ppl being punched and thrown through the air)

I would like to see Peter's original girlfriend brought back - with powers!
  • Savethecheerleader, Savethewor · 7 months ago
There are too many people 'dying' and then coming back to life, this could be used as a great twist to the plot, except that now it's no longer a surprise...

Also they should keep track of everyones powers, as there are many flaws... for instance Petrelli Senior went back in time when Claire and Hiro went to get the catalyst (when claire was a baby)... how did he time travel? Lets presume he somehow already had that ability, why would he take the same power from Hiro? And when he killed Adam, why didnt he have the power to heal when he was shot by sylar?

Matt Parkman starting to get other powers is a little OTT, does this mean it's possible for anyone else developing another power?

I like the idea of using two powers together (super charger and the speedster) But i still think each ability should be unique and maybe delve into the dynamics of what each power can really do (see Boogiemans comment)
