Heroes 4.12 The Fifth Stage Discussion Thread
Wow, that must HURT!
And why the hell is Sylar standing there doing nothing?
eh. that's stupid.
no really.
i thought gabriel the angel likes his mom.
and hates his peter monster brother
see. it really rhymes :))
Sylar's in the back waiting for his turn...Share and share a like boys I'm positive Angela would have instilled these values in her kids.
I wouldn't say Angela was done not by a long shot...No way her power is just dreaming the future, I have never bought into that one at all!...One of her kids has the same hunger as Linda from the GN, she told Syler she knows about it too, The GN ended saying Linda was an Angel she is killed by Linderman the healer? And her name is Angela?
You couldn't be more obvious about Angela being Linda if she wore a name tag that says Linda on it.
Mr. Muggles can see that soon Lyle will go upstairs NEVER to come back down he will disappear into that mystical void where all pointless characters go. Poor kid he must have the hardest time at school; the actor I mean.
Lyle says one word and Clair tells him to shut up, or his mother says go to your room; (sigh) just bored, sorry for the rant.
also i like how peter is going to be a little dark for a while because if these abilities were real good and evil wouldn't be so cut and dry like it is in all the superhero movies, thats what makes heroes so good.
one thing that still bugs me and i know im not the first to ask this question but how did future peter get the scar, does anyone know
INTENSE!
epsisode was awesome, you gotta feel bad for the Vortex guy
actually i was just thinking could it be that angela and the other founders tried to kill arthur petrelli but somehow he survived and formed pinehearst.
i already can't wait until next week i mean it looks awsome.
and i dont think hiro goes back and teleports ando to safety cause then ando wouldnt be there for hiro to prove himself to knox and daphne but who knows.
so it looks like out of the petrelli bro's nathan was the only one born without an ability, this show gets better every week
speaking of decisions...HIRO AND ANDO! Hiro would NOT have made his mind up that fast to just stab ando like that, unless he had already made up his mind that he would go back in time and save him..PLUS we've already seen in the future that Hiro isn't gangin up with Daphne and Knox in their little Villain Squad...therefore Hiro doesn't go through with the initiation or whatever..
also..I knew Maury was def a possibility of Nathan's (and now Daphne's) seeing Linderman..but I never really thought that it would be solved that fast..nice move heroes writers. One mystery solved!
oh and is anyone else becoming a huge fan of Angela's future dream scenes!? because i know i definitely am..
great twist with the puppeteer "Doyle" guy and Meredith at the end..the kiss was slightly disgusting, but I'm pretty sure that was the point...Claire/Sylar/HRG..loved the tension..personally I thought the blackholer dude was really annoying..but him throwing himself into his own black hole was pretty sweet and for the most part unexpected..
Tracy/Nathan/Angela..one of the best scenes...Angela speechless and trembling?..awesome
Adam Monroe coming back is always good..I loved his character in season 2, however there was a point when I kinda wanted to push Hiro in the coffin..that was getting a little irksome..
and of course...Arthur Petrelli and Pinehearst...genius heroes..genius!
oh yeah...Maya needs to kill Mohinder...he's just becoming a tad too reptilian and murderous for me..I'm not feelin his story this season at all..
it was expected. he pretty much was depressed, and his wife don't want to see him. what else he gonna do? they woundn't kill off sylar anyway.
LOL @ ANGELA xD
But I actually haven't watched the episode yet :(
HIRO STABS ANDO!?!?!? MUST MUST MUST WATCH :O
Also who the hell are the Heroes , this episode , I thought I had Hiro and Ando left , and probablly Claire , but I don't know about Claire but I love her story and now that Hiro has killed Ando , I don't believe there are any Heroes left who have done no harm ??? but why they kill Ando ?!?!? I don't believe it though , Hiro could not have just killed him like that ??? , No!!!!
The guy with the Black hole power was very interesting because he had a very nice power :)
wait though , does Claire no that Sylar is her uncle ? and yea the kiss meredith had was ughh !!! and I can't beleieve the guy is going to make Claire shoot her mom !!! Next week looks awesome , and I wanna get more to Arthur Petrelli !!:)
you are right about hiro in the future but as we all know whenever they show a future like that it never comes to be ie the bomb in season 1 and the virus in season 2.
also ando kills hiro in that future so maybe ando survives the stabbing and joins the company to fight against hiro, knowing hiro he probably has a change of heart but maybe by the time he does it's too late to save his friendship with ando.
we also have to remember that hiro is easily manipulated so i guess we'll find out in the episodes to come.....I can't wait!!!!
"Tracy, Knox, Adam and Daphne having gone back in time to the day Peter saved Claire (and killing everyone)."
In the vision I remember(not ep5's vision but ep2 or 3 can't remember), it shows 4 villians. Behind Angela Petrelli comes Sylar. He puts his hands on her shoulders and she looks a little worried.
I'm gonna watch it again to see If I missed anything but that's how I remember it.
And this can't be the real Hiro! He has been 100 percent annoying this season and I can't wait for Ando to come back to life and put that blue flame to his ass!
lol
and also... when HRG was tellN the vortex guy to kill Sylar... how come he couldnt hear any of it... didnt he kill that woman mechanic that had super hearing? all of a sudden they forget what powers he has... this makes no sense... but absolutely love the show.. haha
The interview is here:
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article...
yeah, so what's up w/ petrelli dad? he's alive, obviously, but they didn't know that. did they actually think he committed suicide or did they try to kill him
also, does anyone know for sure what his power is? making other people see dead people? not sure if that's it. a combo of him and dreaming from Angela made peter's power though (i think he's a natural not a synthetic ability) so maybe it is somehow related to peter's?
i'm just gonna make a list of remaining questions, if anyone has theories you could answer!
1) Peter's scar, what's it from?
2) what's petrelli dad's power?
3) who else is natural power vs. synthetic power?
4) who's sylar's dad, is it arthur?
5) is it actually possible to remove powers and they haven't figured it out yet or is it impossible?
6) why is peter trying to kill people if it won't help him get their powers like sylar?
7) is ando dead?
8) Can claire die or not?? We keep getting different info on that. sylar says she can't but in season 2 adam monroe says getting the top of the head blown off does it. is it the same w/ peter and sylar (and can sylar feel pain?)
9) and of course...when are we going to find out peter and claire aren't related so they can get together? (kidding! though actually claire could be adam monroe's daughter, same power, both blondes, you know...)
Also when Maury Parkman is visiting Peter's Dad the doctor taking care of him isn't moving, the whole time. Assuming that the doctor isn't working for Petrelli and knows all of his plan etc, there is no way that they would let him stand there the whole time!!
they are going way too fast compared to season 1. why did clair just sudennly go bad. why did hiro just stab ando without any hestitation. worst moment ever. Yet worst episode ever. i think i'm starting to lose hpe on heroes. there is no character devolpement whatoever. plus there's so much more to argue that i'm too vexed to go on
"Chris Hosken reports that the US Open Golf Tournament got underway today at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in southern North Carolina. Local residents have been looking forward to the event, but their excitement has been marred by a controversy over who can legally use the "Pinehurst" name. Resort officials have threatened to sue local businesses that use the name, arguing it is a legally registered trademark and belongs to them. Residents say "Pinehurst" denotes the town, too, and they should be free to use it."
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?st...
...wonder if using the Pinehurst name is an assertion of the its entitlement for free use, or maybe I'm just reading into this too much.
Seems to me that the writers of the show wanted to show that no one entity has exclusive domain over the name Pinehurst, or maybe I'm just finding unfounded connections...
That's what I think anyway.
She was standing still in the bar with Hiro and Ando, and not using her power, so therefore, Its my opinion that she would be frozen.
I'm probably wrong though!!
That could be true, he even said that there are alot of things he(Ando) doesn't see. Maybe he will just go back to when he stabbed him and just not stab him? Lol I dunno, but it sure was sad to see Ando die. I never wanna see that again.
to D:
1) Peter’s scar, what’s it from?
Peter talks about a "war" that had been going on, I think we can assume(after ep5 with future Peter), that any injuries Peter takes when he can't heal will stick around.
2) what’s petrelli dad’s power?
unknown at this time, Angela said he thought he was invincible.
3) who else is natural power vs. synthetic power?
unknown
4) who’s sylar’s dad, is it arthur?
Yes, Arthur is also Peter and Nathan's father, but I'm guessing u knew that.
5) is it actually possible to remove powers and they haven’t figured it out yet or is it impossible?
In the future from season 1 episode 20, Mohinder says himself that even with 20 years more research he could not reverse the effects. I wouldn't say it's impossible though, not at all. Look at the Hatian, his ability could easily be sampled, and maybe with some luck yield results.
6) why is peter trying to kill people if it won’t help him get their powers like sylar?
Peter is now suffering from the hunger, a side effect from Sylar's ability. He can't control himself to some extent, it's new to him. He says to Angela that he wants all the secrets she has out.
7) is ando dead?
It looks like it, what a sad ending for him for now.
the other thing that bothered me was lastr episode, how the hell did peter know where mohinder was in the future in issac’s loft. and how did he know sylar can paint. and angels and monstors is like a monstor movie. i t does not make sense maybe thats why the show’s rating is downb hthe drain lol- can someone tell me what that means.
to sylarpetrelli:
Peter may have guessed or went there to see Issac. After that he teleports to Sylar's. Seeing as how Issac wasn't at his loft I guess he assumed Sylar had taken Issac's power. Angels and Monsters is the title because If you listened, you would notice that every person has good and evil within them. It's all about the struggle to be good or evil. The ratings are down because some people are poorly educated or cannot follow a deep show. If you want shallow then watch Chuck.
WTF!!!
Heroes is getting awesome(er) every second. This was prolly the best episode from this season. I loved it.
RIP Ando....
Now who's the villain here, eh?
Heroes is the Greatest and if you cant follow the storyline, stick to Fox Kids...
I believe the reasons to set it up first are 1) so you know if they will do it, 2) you don't have to do it in front of your adopted daughter who already has trust issues, and 3) the would be assasian may jump into a vortex if you don't. HRG has a lot to learn about taking a hit out on someone.
Sylar recovered pretty quick from that broken neck that Peter gave him, too bad Peter couldn't heal as quickly from being thrown into a wall! Peter really needs to grow up, and stop being such a wuss.
For someone that can stop time and space, Hiro is pretty easy to get away from. All you need is a jealous bartender to punch him, and don't worry he won't go back in time to stop it from happening.
Hiro and Peter both need to freeze time and rewind time alot more often. Hiro said he doesn't want to go into the past anymore but that was BEFORE he stabbed Ando.
Did anyone else watch the preview for next week? I watched it in slowmotion and Flint (the fire guy from level 5) was in Arthur's army. I betcha Claire kills Meredith next week too thanks to Eric Doyle. This will make her even darker.
is there anyone who isn't a villian??
The Hiro you know in seasons 1 and 2 would NEVER kill Ando, that's just BS! No i don't believe he suddenly stopped time to plan it because Daphne can move faster than 'stopped time' which is why Hiro can't do anything about her.
What i don't get is that Hiro gets killed twice-once by Ando, and once with his own sword...which one is the correct future?
To advance the stroyline with Claire, they needed a bad guy who was able to kill her, thus black hole guy:in and out in 1 episode. It seems that whenever the writers need something particular, they can invent it and kill it off whenever, and that's just gay.
I don't know if Arthur can 'take over powers', the reason he couldn't talk to Maury was that he couldn't talk, Maury had to read his mind to find out what to do next. He definately wants Adam to heal him, but does Adam want to do it willingly? He's had a lot of time to think in that coffin...
Peters dad probably has a different power than him. I think he has sylers power and peter and syler are fraternal twins with two different dads and Angela gave the wrong one up for adoption.
Isn't that the best theory you have heard yet
They will be unstoppable.
Makes me think of Revenge Of The Sith, because Anakin was the reason Padme died...
If Sylar had lost his super hearing, then he'd have lost TK too. Since that isn't the case, I'm sure he retained all his abilities.
They kind of wrote themselves into a corner in season one by making him too powerful to be stopped, so they decided to take away all his powers with the virus except when we say so and we need it to move the story along. I think you've gotta give him back all his powers if the show's to retain any internal consistency.
Nobody is ever too powerful, everybody has a weakness. If vortex man didn't play magician and make himself disappear, he'd be one make to take down the "immortals". Also, Maya could possible put her permanent sun glasses on to take them out. So really, no Hero is truly to powerful death, you just have to find the right person.
He uses the liquid ability to show Mohinder(when he's pretending to be Zane Taylor). He also uses the freeze ability in the same web episode listed above to stop the cops from chasing him. He does have all those abilities, check the Heroes wiki.
Anyone else with any ideas on how to kill Claire?
I was right when I said Peter was going to get Syler's hunger and I was right when I said Maury was responsible for Linderman.
So here is what I see coming; Syler and Peter are going to fight as we see in the next episode...Either Peter is going to split Sylers wig and see the genetic side effect of the hunger; Then remove it inside his own head; Then he will tell Syler so he can get rid of the hunger too.
One will cut the other not sure witch but my money's on Peter only because he has it bad!...Gabriel is trying to change.
Pinehurst is controlling everything; Everything is going in only one direction...Heroes will be FUGITIVES. But who will be the heroes?
Syler's expression was clear, he was trying to understand what was going on; I'm sure his expression would have been different if heard what he was saying. You don't need sylers power to see what was going on even at a distance.
Therefore, he was not able to "hear" Noah's plan to kill him (otherwise he would of reacted - don't you think?) He wondered what was going on, that's it. He later learned of Noah's plan, probably after brushing up against Claire again and downloading that info from her using the power he got from Bridget.
I agree that black hole man shouldn't have died. He could have been Noah's best friend (definitly as asset to the company)
1) Time traveling abilities
The Hiro that visited Peter on the subway during season 1 could hypothetically be from a number of varying timelines that no longer exist. We know there was a prevented New York destruction timeline. There was a global pandemic prevented timeline. There was also a timeline prevented by Sylar obtaining Claire's power as expressed to Peter by Angela. Whatever events may happen, so long as at least one hero has the ability to time-travel, the future can be rewritten.
2) Mind-control and illusion-generating abilities
With the introduction of the "puppet-master", Parkman and his father, the ability to warp one's sense of time and space can be blamed for altered motivations on the part of some characters. Likewise, the ability to both change one's own appearance and someone else's appearance means anyone at any time could be anyone else.
Could we be headed into "Villain of the Week" territory? It's the same problem that drove "Smallville" into obsolescence after just two seasons. Each week a new villain to fight, very shallow characterization, and killed by the end of the episode. Canfield seemed like an interesting fellow, now he's gone. Jesse could have been cool, and the German as well. Both gone in a single episode with absolutely no characterization. Puppet man next week, and I imagine he'll be gone by the end of the episode too. These guys need to stick around for a while, maybe show up in subsequent seasons, because I can see a situation where we need more bad guys next year, and they have to invent a whole new crop of them (and new powers, too - wait until they get to the bottom of THAT barrel) because everyone else is already dead.
I still don't get why Peter has to start slicing skulls. Okay, I get it, he has the Hunger, and that makes him dangerous. Cool. I like that. But why does the Hunger manifest as a need to cut open skulls? Sylar's cutting open of skulls was his particular response to the Hunger because that's the mechanism by which he steals powers. He was hungry for more power. It made sense for him to do it. Peter keeps saying he needs to understand people's intentions and secrets. He's a psychic! Raid those people's minds, and do it in a fantastic fashion. Pillage their thoughts and leave them as empty, mindless shells. You have no need to cut open those heads! It serves no purpose other than killing. He can take their power without scalping. Psychic intrusion would be a much more efficient way to determine a person's motivations and secrets than taking a gander at their gray matter. You can't look at the physical structure of a brain and see the memories and thoughts stored within. He simply has no real reason to cut open heads. What's the point of understanding something if you are only going to destroy it?
Oh, that's right. He's the new Sylar. He's even got the watch...
Reading minds does not mean that you will understand, you will just know what the other person is thinking.. Not understand why they are thinking that, as they may not know themselves...
Sylar used it because he hungered for more powers. Peter uses it because he hungers for more knowledge and secrets. I think somehow he thinks that if he cuts open the minds of a person, he can see everything inside it; know their secrets. But I don't think it'll work like that. Each time he tries to do it, he either stops himself, or someone else stops him. He never really gets to look at the brains himself.
As for the possibility of him just looking into their mind and take what he wants, there's one flaw. He doesn't know how. People with these abilities don't just automatically learn how to use every aspect of said ability. They have to be taught or they have to learn it themselves. Matt still can't even use half of his ability. I think he knows like 25% max. Maury only knew how to use around 73% of it if I remember correctly.
Peter only knows how to use 27% of his ability. Im not sure if that's collective between all of them, or just his natural ability. So I think that Peter can only hear what you're thinking at the time. I doubt he can do something like Maury or the Hatian and just go in and see everything in your mind.
Don't believe me? The writers and show-runners have confimred this in their weekly question and answer session.
"Q: With Sylar's ability, can Peter now study his own mind and unlock all these dormant abilities?
A: Yes."
You can find the article at www.comicbookresources.com
The german's control over all metal would've made him like magneto and it would have fueled the critics calling this show an X men rip off. Vortex man was cool but how do we know he can't just black hole the whole damn planet and end the show prematurely. We already have a firestarter with Claire's mom, so no need for blue flame hands guy, and I guess the Jesse character was just a casualty. He was kind of cool and not too powerful. Hook him up with some Claire blood.
One of the items in the volt when Peter stopped the virus was a brain; another regenerator? could be, It's never been explored.
Ando and Hiro; No where does it say that the red bolt kills Hiro and the best way I can see someone breaking up a team...Divide and conquer; Ando is cured with blood (who's?) and given the formula so he can stop Hiro.
I admit that the 1st scean with Hiro and Ando looks grim and final, but that could've been a power out of control not exactly the end of the world.
I think many people just miss the paintings depicting spoilers how things will...Or might go down...Sorry but this time there is NO guide and good and evil are blurred beyond our understanding. So just enjoy the greatest show ever!
With Syler he couldn't read minds so it was cut and dry for him.
What secrets are you hiding from me MOTHER! I'll cut your head open and take it...lol that was freeking sweet!
For those who said Pete is still a wimp; With barley any effort he snapped Sylers neck and with even less restraint he tried to cut of his mothers head...And he was facing away from Syler. He has come full psycho, the mans a beast.
Now that's an argument I will buy. Boogieman, you are the first person to advance a plausible (in my book) theory on why Peter needs to skull slice. I'm going with that explanation until the writers contradict it. Thank you.
Also, Maury Parkman tells Arthur Petrelli that Adam Monroe was abducted by his "team" and will be there tomorrow. His team contains a speedster and someone who can bend space-time, therefore, couldn't Adam be there right now?
Consider the variables working now, my guess just like any journey to the end, everything happens for a reason, that being said, Don't rule on anything just yet, Canfield may come back. I still think there may be more to his story. Or maybe all of this is going on to shape the end game, cause right now, is there one? I mean our heroes are in disary, the line of good vs evil is blurred. at least until next week. I say keep it going as it is, just like in this episode, some of the plot holes were tied up, some later down the road.
Remember the name of this volume is villains, and like anything, the villians have a story too. As I'm sitting here, I think the writers are probably covering both ends...we've seen the heroes world, but the villians have one too. So it brings us to this, of the villians who has what it takes to conquer the heroes. Or will the ultimate villian be the ultimate hero. Hmmm
If the future "Peter from the future" took Peter to see were different, "Peter from the future" would have reacted differently. Continuity?
Future Peter (1) takes Past Peter (2) into the future where they meet up with Future Peter (3) before he decides to travel into the past. As they meet Peter(3), Peter(1)'s past, which would have been Peter(3)'s future is inevitably changed. Unless Peter(1) recalls having met two of himself at some point, the past has changed. If Peter(1),(2) and (3) decide to travel into the past to before Peter(2) met Peter(1), unless Peter(1),(2) and (3) can remember that at some point they were all visited by three Peters, there is a fourth Peter. How then is it possible that the future Peters would have traveled to the past if their futures never existed? Likewise, wouldn't they cease to exist the moment their actions impacted the past that never existed in their future?
If the "Back to the Future" principle holds, as the past changes to eliminate the alternate future, "Peter from the future" should no longer exist. However, if the "Time Machine" (H.G. Wells) principle holds, no matter what "Peter from the future" does, the future will always be the same because the past could not have been altered by nothing.
When i saw Hiro and Ando's conversation from where Hiro was standing when Ando killed Hiro in the future, i thought that Hiro had it all wrong. Through-out the entire show he has been a puppet and that is what happened there as well. He assumed that Ando was the villain and that he was the good guy, because he could not think of himself as the bad guy when in fact he messes everyone else up. I think that in that scene Ando was the good guy and Hiro was the bad guy (whether he realized it as either Hiro is anyone's guess). I am really starting to dislike Hiro, not because he messes up all the time but because of his gullibility. I mean, he seemed to be getting better at not being so stupid after learning from some of the mistakes he made (going back and seeing his dad, messing with charlie, messing with adam in the past) but all that is going out the window. I think he is the person most to be feared by anyone who wants a happy ending. Because he could easily end up as another puppet with good intentions, and the puppet master doesn't even have to try very hard.
I am starting to dislike Peter too, and i used to love Peter. I should have seen his weakness coming though. Looking back, he has always been psychologically weak. Never morally or ethically suspect, but always weak. Even if the future Peter was morally and ethically suspect, i would rather have that Peter than some weak minded fool. This is exhibited in his inability to control himself. I mean sure, Syler has had a hard time of it too, but from the begining Syler not only had the hunger but embraced it, wanted it. He didn't try to fight it and lost. And now that he is fighting it (not even whole-heartedly) he is succeeding.
Claire has always been a kind of weak too, from the very begining she has always been easily influenced and manipulated. Both by people and her own emotions in regards to what the people said, even if the people were not trying to manipulate her to such an extent. Although of all the characters i think she is the most likely to have a black and white view of right and wrong. While she is manipulated to a degree, it's not by someone convincing her of something, most of the time she has been manipulated it's been by direct lies from people who had her trust. Now that she trusts so few people i think she has a really good view of what is right and wrong and she is an extremist in wanting to do what is right, like Peter was at some point ::sigh::.
I'm starting to like Syler a lot, i think he is one of the best characters right now, he is intelligent and independent. While he may be getting manipulated, he probably knows it and to what degree, and is profiting from it in turn. I do not believe he is inherently evil or a villain. He is more a realist than anything and he will always protect those he loves, although they are few and far between.
Nathan and Tracy are cool too, and Nathan has that ability to recognize good and evil, although if the means justify the ends he might bend them a bit. I think now that he has died and come back he is a lot better at not getting manipulated.
I hate Mohinder, of all the characters on the show he has been the biggest puppet. Always being used. And while sometimes he's like "i am not going to let you use me" he always gets used anyway. He is very very weak, with the smallet impulse ruling him.
I'm going to stop boring everyone.
The only thing that Maury wants, based on his character is his power to abuse with; the fear we see when he's talking to Mr. Patrelli gives me the impression that he can take that away from him. The fact that he never mentioned Angela's predicament during his report to Mr.P leads me to believe that he had no hand in her paralysis.
He has been gone since Peter and Nathan first conspired to testify against him and kept Angela and Peter from seeing him in there dreams of the future.
Peter has a power I thought came from deveroux; but now I wonder...It's the same power he used in season 2 where he traveled to the future with out actually going; He saw him self and Kate being taken and was able to bring back the flyer...Remember when Adam said you never left. I think he can absorb powers permanently a combo of Peter and Syler's ability. Like you have a power he absorbs it taking it away from you for good.
Linderman could heel who's to say his power couldn't do the opposite as well? Make you sick and unhealthy...All this is just speculation for now anyway.
If only we could trust that Maya is dead now, but future synopsis' say she'll survive a further 2 episodes (just kill her now, don't prolong it!).
When is Claire going to grow a brain and listen to her Dad (apart from wanting to kill Sylar of course, he's fab)?! Seriously, trusting a guy who can create vortexes, is she nuts?!! I don't care if people 'mean to' do anything, that guy is clearly dangerous and needed to be locked up for his own and everyone else's protection whether he wants to accept it or not (I'm glad he at least was sensible and ended it all). Why is everyone this series acting so dense? It's irritating, they were much smarter in the first two series.
I don't get why HRG asked that vortex guy to kill Sylar only feet from him, didn't Sylar obtain a power to have super hearing from the mechanic, he could probably hear everything (unless the writers forgot to let him).
Eww, Doyle is freakin' terrifying. Poor Meredith having to kiss him.
Ando can't be dead, Hiro has either planned something with or without him or he'll fix what he's done. I don't believe they'd kill off Ando so early in the series (if at all), they're trying to trick us. Hiro couldn't even kill Sylar that quickly in series 1 so how could he possibly kill Ando so easily without a second thought, and for people he doesn't even know, it's a ruse. Gotta be.
A better episode than we've had this whole series though. I was finally gripped by the cliffhanger, I'd been missing that feeling of being desperate to see the next episode. First time I felt it this series.
This is a breakdown of what I think about some of the plot and characters.
Starting with the ending, I believe that Arthur Petrelli's power is simply to control other people (thoughts, movements...) He tells Parkman's dad what to do and also tells Angela in her future dream that she will have to watch and wont be able to move.
Of course great twist of having Old Parkman create the Linderman visions. Personally did not see it coming...
Hiro killing Ando? So fake, Hiro would never have done that he is too good. He probably stopped time they went back in the past Ando just put some kind of fake blood pouch and Hiro of course didn't hesitate to stab him in front of Daphne knowing he couldnt hurt him.
One thing I dont understand is why Hiro doesnt just go back when someone escapes him (I know he said he didnt want to go back in the past, partially bc of what happened with Adam in the past)but this is definitely not the same...
In regards to Claire, I would go bad too being lied to and being disappointed so many times by my dad. No wonder she is torn between right and wrong.
About her power, maybe I am mistaken but in one of the previous seasons she had a big piece of wood stuck in her head she didnt heal until the coroner took it out, plus in Angelas future Peter has a pipe stuck in his head and he doesnt heal he just falls over. Correct me if I am wrong but seems that things that stay in the wounds when they are head injuries dont heal.
One of the comments stated that writers just create and kill off characters at their convenience, that might be somewhat true, but Old Parkman cam back even though we thought he was trapped by his son so some of these characters might still come back when needed. Also it does add interest of seing all these types of powers (BTW: can you imagine the blast the writers have inventing all these powers, they probably just sit around and go like:'Dude, we should totally have a guy Vortex himself') LOL
OK, now sorry to bother y'all with all of this but it just feels good getting it all out there!
:D
For all those who are wondering why sylar didnt hear, hrg ploting to kill him, it was due to the fact that sylar lost all of his abilities (super hearing)to the virus except, his intuitive ablity and telekenisis. i guess he just probably figured something was wrong, due to hrg delay in getting rid of the vortex guy, so he became suspicious.
i am sure hiro did not kill ando, he is too good of a guy, i figure he ploted with ando to fake the death, just to look more sinister and to be accepted easily by the group. he probably stopped time and added the fake props to make the stab lok convincing. i know what some of you may be saying, he could not stop time without daphne knowing, but she could be apart of the plot beacsue she said she wasnt ok with some of the methods of the company, and also it would not be the first time hiro stopped time without daphne knowing, if you look at earlier episode, hiro actually stopped time and planted the tracking device on daphne with her knowing. and in there first encounter he actually stopped her for about a minute, i guess it was due to his lost of concentration, which made her unfreeze, same as when he tried to kill sylar in season 1 and time gradually unfroze. so u guys need to watch the earlier episodes of season 3, to actually see that hiro can stop time effectively even with daphne in the picture, am not sure if it is actually episode 2 or 3.
Peters dad probably has a different power than him. I think he has sylers power and peter and syler are fraternal twins with two different dads and Angela gave the wrong one up for adoption.
Isn’t that the best theory you have heard yet
Is it possible that Ando ends up in a lab at Pinhurst & receives a test injection of the newly reunited halves of the formula?
****Spoiler*****
....not dead. Hiro teleports to a joke shop and gets a fake sword and some fake blood. Just like someone above said. Whether or not he discusses this with Daphne or Ando I don't know.
1) I am buying into the theory that Hiro and Ando staged the latter's death. It happened so abruptly; there's no way Hiro would have turned on Ando like that, especially since they were joking walking into the bar just minutes earlier. I also agree with the theory that if Daphne isn't "speedstering", she can't be immune to Hiro's power.
2) I think Arthur Petrelli has one of two powers: 1) the power to impose temporary or permanent paralysis on others or 2) the power to persuade others to do whatever he wants them to do. I think the second is more likely, for it explains why Angela can't move (Arthur told her not to) and why the Nightmare Man is doing his bidding.
Thoughts?
Also, IMDB (granted not the most reliable of sources) shows Ando returning for multiple episodes soon. He is not dead and it is merely a scheme by him and Hiro to trick the others into bringing Hiro into the Pinehearst fold so that he can try to find out what happened to the formula pieces.
Lastly, I like the idea that Papa Petrelli has the power of persuasion. It seems the most reasonable considering what we know thus far.
Of course, Knox could just be bringing Adam in to use his blood to cure Mr. Petrelli, which would lead us back to the more likely theory of persuasion.
The four people that Angela Petrelli sees in her vision from episode two are Knox, Maury Parkman, Tracy (or is it?), and Adam Monroe...so does Adam really die?
Also, don't forget about Tracy and Niki's other sister...maybe she's the one who comes to "The Company" and wrecks it, not Tracy.
We see in that vision: Hiro, Peter, Matt and Claire dead... however Sylar lives (I assume). If Sylar whoops those guy's four collective butts, he could reattach Claire's head and use her blood to revive all the others.
In other news, good riddance to Maya!
PS. Maya is prob not dead :\ not yet anyway
i tought that the power of dreaming the future belong to the simone´s dad the old guy that peter was taking car of.
i didnt like angelas power i thought that it was gonna be a diferent one like eve or something more powerfull haha

You guys are taking focus away from the real questions like "What's up with Ando and Hiro?" and "When does Tracy's other sister come into play?"

That is why it's being debated. Did we actually see Sylar use any other ability this season, that he hasn't also acquired this season?
Honestly I don't like Ali Larter, no matter what role she plays she always cries about her powers. If I had super strength I'd tear people in half and like it. She cries like a baby because she froze one very annoying reporter.
Ando and Hiro may become enemies If Ando was really stabbed but survives. That would be the most interesting thing since Sylar vs Peter in my opinion.
Sylar finds a box of Noah's files and grows excited to have a "shopping list" of abilities, since he lost all his powers.
-Heroes Wiki: Sylar
"Nope that’s right. Sylar’s starting over. Getting a whole new slate of powers as he goes. You can count Jesse’s voice powers into the mix as well. "

This show is just getting better and better.
Last nights episode was not too complicated it just tied up some loose ends for all characters, which is good.
Also we find out Daddy Petrellis power: Steal other powers.
Although I didnt really get why Adam Monroe died and not Peter, is this because Adam was technically already supposed to be dead since he lived for so long??
Anyone got any ideas?
