    Angela: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" XD

    Wow, that must HURT!
And why the hell is Sylar standing there doing nothing?
  • Master Z · 1 year ago
Please oh Please do not kill of Angela Pitrelli! We finally find out her power, but a while back there were comics about a woman with black hair who possessed the power to steal peoples powers with a blue ray from her hand I thought Angela was that woman its a shame she wasnt because I think that Precognitive Dreaming isn't a power that satisfies Angela's storyline!
  • Destro 24 · 1 year ago
So we have 2 characters traveling into the future, 3 characters who can paint the future, and one character who can dream the future. I'm surprised we haven't somehow seen the final episode yet.
  • macmikey · 1 year ago
    ;-) Nice.
  • laura · 1 year ago
i love that you thought that, thats what i was just saying the other night! she is WAY to snow queen for that to be her only power......
  • mig · 1 year ago
damn. so sylar let peter just open up angela's brain?

    eh. that's stupid.
    no really.

i thought gabriel the angel likes his mom.
and hates his peter monster brother

    see. it really rhymes :))
  • Casey the Great · 1 year ago
Mig, you don't know that he'll actually open up her head. All you see is him pointing his finger. It's silly to extrapolate the contents of an entire scene from a single frame, so save your whining until after you've seen it.
  • Boogieman · 1 year ago
Pete likes to keep it in the family...I think his hunger hits him when he reads minds. We all know to get anything out of Angela that resembles truth you have to read her mind.

Sylar's in the back waiting for his turn...Share and share a like boys I'm positive Angela would have instilled these values in her kids.

I wouldn't say Angela was done not by a long shot...No way her power is just dreaming the future, I have never bought into that one at all!...One of her kids has the same hunger as Linda from the GN, she told Syler she knows about it too, The GN ended saying Linda was an Angel she is killed by Linderman the healer? And her name is Angela?

You couldn't be more obvious about Angela being Linda if she wore a name tag that says Linda on it.
  • Boogieman · 1 year ago
Uluru can only be...Mr. Muggles?, of course it makes perfect sense!

Mr. Muggles can see that soon Lyle will go upstairs NEVER to come back down he will disappear into that mystical void where all pointless characters go. Poor kid he must have the hardest time at school; the actor I mean.

Lyle says one word and Clair tells him to shut up, or his mother says go to your room; (sigh) just bored, sorry for the rant.
  • J · 1 year ago
You KNOW that this is going to happen in the first five minutes.
  • Jesse · 1 year ago
So I was thinking how Linderman coming back from the dead was a really dumb storyline only because it seems like this show can never keep a person dead which kinda pisses me off. After looking at previews for next week and the promo photos I had a really cool theory pop into my head that has probably been said before but here goes. Making people see dead people is papa Petrelli's power so that way he can pull everyones strings without it being known it's actually him.
  • Ryan · 1 year ago
jesse, i like your theory about papa petrelli. even more interesting is this, ive been reading in other discussion threads that his power is manipulating the genetic code. if that is the case could he then give himself another ability.

also i like how peter is going to be a little dark for a while because if these abilities were real good and evil wouldn't be so cut and dry like it is in all the superhero movies, thats what makes heroes so good.

one thing that still bugs me and i know im not the first to ask this question but how did future peter get the scar, does anyone know
  • Pete · 1 year ago
SCAR...yeah the scar remember when hiro went to the future..Peter has also that scar..the same scar..whats about that scar after all..maybe to determine he is the future peter lol...
  • Pete · 1 year ago
i mean hiro going in the future in season 1..
  • Xerox · 1 year ago
watching the show right now... Can anyone tell me why the company is not still keeping tabs on mohinder. isn't the lab set up with camera's????
  • Bito · 1 year ago
Holy sh*t! Did Hiro really just kill Ando??? I never saw that one coming.
  • Brian · 1 year ago
This episode is the best so far. I can't believe that Hiro stabbed Ando with a sword! I was so shocked when the guy who can create black holes killed himself.
  • Catherine · 1 year ago
wow, this is crazy, definitely not what I was expecting!!!
    INTENSE!
  • Xerox · 1 year ago
oh snap! This is sweeeeeet! I cannot wait for next week!!!! So Hiro must go back and teleport ando to safety. That was crazy... I knew Parkmans dad had to be up to something. Wonder why he is serving Papa petrellie. He must be one bad ass dude to have that powerful of people doing his will. I need to go and chill after that. take amoment and think.
  • wtfing · 1 year ago
    best episode!!!!! wow!
  • Brian · 1 year ago
All I can say about this episode is WOW! I wasnt expecting alot of stuff to happen. Now I can see papa petrelli is the puppetmaster who has been pulling everyones string since the beginning.
  • zeus47 · 1 year ago
    OH NO!!!Ando cant be DEAD!!!!
  • HawdCoor · 1 year ago
so next episodewe will see the Villain team?

epsisode was awesome, you gotta feel bad for the Vortex guy
  • Ryan · 1 year ago
isnt it funny that papa petrelli founded pinehearst i mean he helped found the original company too didnt he. i hope they explain that eventually.

actually i was just thinking could it be that angela and the other founders tried to kill arthur petrelli but somehow he survived and formed pinehearst.

i already can't wait until next week i mean it looks awsome.
  • andrew · 1 year ago
OMG Ando dead!!!!!! and the vortex guy had a sweet power. and merdith is with the puppet guy o god. this is getting serious
  • blah · 1 year ago
...i loves it, a lot to take in but it's such a good show, when this season is over I'm going to buy all episodes and watch them all one Saturday.
  • Xerox · 1 year ago
you may need to add in sunday too!
  • Pain4killer · 1 year ago
I am gona watch all three seasons , beat that.
  • Ryan · 1 year ago
also on Xerox's point on maury parkman, i had an idea it was him but i wasn't sure because the last time we saw him his son trapped him in dream but then again maury's power was further along then matt's so maybe he just was able to get out like matt was.

and i dont think hiro goes back and teleports ando to safety cause then ando wouldnt be there for hiro to prove himself to knox and daphne but who knows.

so it looks like out of the petrelli bro's nathan was the only one born without an ability, this show gets better every week
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago
you know what made me madd was Nathan just left peter all locked up in the time out room, because he cut mommy.
  • bjamin128 · 1 year ago
a few things..yes this episode was probably the best this season..it totally played with the whole heroes/villains thing..there were alot of decisions to be made in this episode and it made the characters think...

speaking of decisions...HIRO AND ANDO! Hiro would NOT have made his mind up that fast to just stab ando like that, unless he had already made up his mind that he would go back in time and save him..PLUS we've already seen in the future that Hiro isn't gangin up with Daphne and Knox in their little Villain Squad...therefore Hiro doesn't go through with the initiation or whatever..

also..I knew Maury was def a possibility of Nathan's (and now Daphne's) seeing Linderman..but I never really thought that it would be solved that fast..nice move heroes writers. One mystery solved!

oh and is anyone else becoming a huge fan of Angela's future dream scenes!? because i know i definitely am..

great twist with the puppeteer "Doyle" guy and Meredith at the end..the kiss was slightly disgusting, but I'm pretty sure that was the point...Claire/Sylar/HRG..loved the tension..personally I thought the blackholer dude was really annoying..but him throwing himself into his own black hole was pretty sweet and for the most part unexpected..

Tracy/Nathan/Angela..one of the best scenes...Angela speechless and trembling?..awesome

Adam Monroe coming back is always good..I loved his character in season 2, however there was a point when I kinda wanted to push Hiro in the coffin..that was getting a little irksome..

    and of course...Arthur Petrelli and Pinehearst...genius heroes..genius!

oh yeah...Maya needs to kill Mohinder...he's just becoming a tad too reptilian and murderous for me..I'm not feelin his story this season at all..
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago
Its just getting too wierd what Mohinder is turning into an evil fly. Hiro release Adam AGAIN. Claire is going to join the villians.
  • Pain4killer · 1 year ago
This is not an essay competition.Anyways u are very good at writing.May u win an essay competition.
  • wtfing · 1 year ago
"but him throwing himself into his own black hole was pretty sweet and for the most part unexpected.."

it was expected. he pretty much was depressed, and his wife don't want to see him. what else he gonna do? they woundn't kill off sylar anyway.
  • divinesynder · 1 year ago
OMG! Awesome! I really felt bad for the black holes guy. I was glad Claire decided to help him. But HRG had to go and ruin it. It kinda pissed me off for Sylar to speak about what Claire was feeling even if he did apologize to her. When Sylar took her hand to keep her from being sucked into the black hole was like the it moment for me. SYlar, who held Claire down, removed her scalp and took her ability, was trying to save her. WOW.
  • divinesynder · 1 year ago
On another note. The beginning of the episode felt strange to me. Did anyone notice that they didn't use Mohinder to narrate?
  • Sealizard · 1 year ago
i really just want to see the dream team in action Peter and Sylar together they would be unstoppable and might be our only hope against Pinehearst
  • fred · 1 year ago
Well, Sylar is still human right? He may have an abnormal conscience, but at least he still loved his son right? :)

    LOL @ ANGELA xD

But I actually haven't watched the episode yet :(

HIRO STABS ANDO!?!?!? MUST MUST MUST WATCH :O
  • andrew · 1 year ago
yea that was werid its was nathan that narrated tonight
  • HEROESCRAZY · 1 year ago
This is epiosode was the best so far !!! The Angela future scenes are really interesting so far too , I can't believe what happened this time though !!!

Also who the hell are the Heroes , this episode , I thought I had Hiro and Ando left , and probablly Claire , but I don't know about Claire but I love her story and now that Hiro has killed Ando , I don't believe there are any Heroes left who have done no harm ??? but why they kill Ando ?!?!? I don't believe it though , Hiro could not have just killed him like that ??? , No!!!!

The guy with the Black hole power was very interesting because he had a very nice power :)

wait though , does Claire no that Sylar is her uncle ? and yea the kiss meredith had was ughh !!! and I can't beleieve the guy is going to make Claire shoot her mom !!! Next week looks awesome , and I wanna get more to Arthur Petrelli !!:)
  • Ryan · 1 year ago
    benjamin

you are right about hiro in the future but as we all know whenever they show a future like that it never comes to be ie the bomb in season 1 and the virus in season 2.

also ando kills hiro in that future so maybe ando survives the stabbing and joins the company to fight against hiro, knowing hiro he probably has a change of heart but maybe by the time he does it's too late to save his friendship with ando.

we also have to remember that hiro is easily manipulated so i guess we'll find out in the episodes to come.....I can't wait!!!!
  • Ryan · 1 year ago
i don't think ando is dead at all. lets not forget ando could have survived that, its not like they showed his funeral or something.
  • Nick · 1 year ago
I'm not really sure I buy Hiro helping the villains here, but they're apparently gonna stick with it. In Angela's vision a few episodes back they showed Tracy, Knox, Adam and Daphne having gone back in time to the day Peter saved Claire (and killing everyone). So unless Arthur and Maury recruit Peter, that means it's Hiro who brings them back there. I'm not sure how they're going to convince him that it's actually Kill The Cheerleader, Save The World but it'll be fun finding out.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
    I don't recall ever seeing

"Tracy, Knox, Adam and Daphne having gone back in time to the day Peter saved Claire (and killing everyone)."

In the vision I remember(not ep5's vision but ep2 or 3 can't remember), it shows 4 villians. Behind Angela Petrelli comes Sylar. He puts his hands on her shoulders and she looks a little worried.

I'm gonna watch it again to see If I missed anything but that's how I remember it.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Ok just checked out what you were talking about. Confirmed this is from s03ep2. It's Adam, Tracy, Maury, and Knox in that order. I think they will try to destroy the company together and that's what happens in this vision. It clearly shows Peter defeated(wounds not healing), Claire without her head, Parkman with a slit throat, Hiro stabbed with his own sword. My fav part is after that tho, when Sylar puts his hands on her shoulders and looks at them.
  • MP · 1 year ago
Great episode! Can't believe the vortex guy got killed off so fast. Some of the people with the sweetest powers get no airtime but we have to keep seeing Meredith with the lame "Fireball in the hand" trick.

And this can't be the real Hiro! He has been 100 percent annoying this season and I can't wait for Ando to come back to life and put that blue flame to his ass!
  • ty · 1 year ago
    red flame
  • MidnightSun · 1 year ago
    red electricity.

    lol
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Agreed on the killing of the vortex guy, but remember sometimes these characters can become a Maya or Micha/Monica type.
  • ty · 1 year ago
why you peter need to kill anyone... he has their powers when he stands next to them... this whole hunger thing makes no sense...

and also... when HRG was tellN the vortex guy to kill Sylar... how come he couldnt hear any of it... didnt he kill that woman mechanic that had super hearing? all of a sudden they forget what powers he has... this makes no sense... but absolutely love the show.. haha
  • 311 · 1 year ago
There is no way that HRG knew for certain that Dale Smither was killed by Sylar, thus he was unaware Sylar could hear it.
  • morrigan · 1 year ago
Sylar lost most of his powers when he was de-powered in season 2. the only ones that remained were his natural power and Telekinesis.
  • barbarito · 1 year ago
Not true. in the future, we see Sylar not only using Issac's power to paint the future, but also Ted's nuclear power(destroying Costa Verde in the process), as well as some sort of telepathic abilty to thwart Peter's trying to read his mind.
  • bow · 1 year ago
if you remember, when sylar is telling HRG what claire is thinking, he mentions the fact that he knew HRG was trying to get rid of him.
  • Pete · 1 year ago
in the futer, future peter tells present peter to see sylar/gabriel to get his ability(understandability) remember gabriel explained to peter that his power has the hunger to gain more power... and peter must control that hunger..i think future peter ask present peter to get the power of sylar in order to make decision correctly.. remember future peter said that he makes wrong decisions...
  • Brian · 1 year ago
If Sylar took the power of the woman mechanic with the great hearing, how come he couldn't hear HRG tell vortex dude to send him off? The cocooning of Mohinder's prey is more indicative he's turned the studio/lab into some sorta nest; maybe he'll spawn something off from his nasty blisters or experience metamorphism into something else in a future episode.
  • Farrozx · 1 year ago
sylar did hear, didnt you hear him talking to clair at the end? he brought it up
  • elle · 1 year ago
and that satisfied smirk tied up that he heard too.
  • Xerox · 1 year ago
which makes me wonder. the lab, isn't that on a video screen in angela's office??? can't the see what "mohindered" is doing???
  • 311 · 1 year ago
You'd think so, I hate to say it but this is a plot hole, just like Caitlin and how she's stranded in the future.
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago
that's exactly what I was thinking about why couldn't sylar hear everything, but I guess when he died and used Claire's blood to get his power back he didn't heal all his powers and get them back, except for telekinesis...
  • AlexHD · 1 year ago
The writers have stated in an interview that Sylar lost all of his powers after being infected by the Shanti virus. So from Season 3 he's started over with telekinesis and 'intuitive aptitude', and stolen Claire's power, Bob's power, Bridget's power, and Jesse's power.

    The interview is here:

y didnt hiro go back in time to when monroe ran away... angela was probably put into thinking her children r dead by matts dad.. and wat is pinehearst exactly, is it primatech.. any answers?
  • Pete · 1 year ago
hiro cant go back future because of the "butterfly effects" once hiro or peter goes back to future they might correct somethings but other things goes wrong again..pinehearts = Daddy petrelli : primatech = the company they use primatech as frontcover. remember the company uses the primatech to hide the shanti virus and all other things..
  • sylarpetrelli · 1 year ago
    worst episode ever
  • d · 1 year ago
i don't think ando is dead, hiro def looked like he was pretending there, he loves ando! he wouldn't just kill him like that

yeah, so what's up w/ petrelli dad? he's alive, obviously, but they didn't know that. did they actually think he committed suicide or did they try to kill him

also, does anyone know for sure what his power is? making other people see dead people? not sure if that's it. a combo of him and dreaming from Angela made peter's power though (i think he's a natural not a synthetic ability) so maybe it is somehow related to peter's?

i'm just gonna make a list of remaining questions, if anyone has theories you could answer!

    1) Peter's scar, what's it from?
    2) what's petrelli dad's power?
    3) who else is natural power vs. synthetic power?
    4) who's sylar's dad, is it arthur?
    5) is it actually possible to remove powers and they haven't figured it out yet or is it impossible?
    6) why is peter trying to kill people if it won't help him get their powers like sylar?
    7) is ando dead?
    8) Can claire die or not?? We keep getting different info on that. sylar says she can't but in season 2 adam monroe says getting the top of the head blown off does it. is it the same w/ peter and sylar (and can sylar feel pain?)
    9) and of course...when are we going to find out peter and claire aren't related so they can get together? (kidding! though actually claire could be adam monroe's daughter, same power, both blondes, you know...)
  • Pyropuppy · 1 year ago
OK, numbers 1 through 5 can't be answered yet. There's infinite possibilities of what those answers could be, so we'll just have to watch. Regarding number six, Peter isn't trying to kill people to gain their powers like Sylar, he just has the urge to look at people's brains for info. The "hunger" that they talk about isn't a hunger for murdering people, it's the hunger for more knowledge. That's why I think they should introduce some hero with x-ray vision so Peter can look without touching, so to speak. Number 7, of course not, Ando is the Yang to Hiro's Yin. 8, I'm not entirely sure about either, since apparently they can come back from a nuclear explosion in which I'm sure they get entirely vaporized. Number 9 I will just disregard, because that will never happen, ever. But you know what I would like to see happen? Peter and Sylar cut each other's heads off and share powers. They both will be fine, and afterwards they can rule the world as two kings just like Tenacious D!
  • bow · 1 year ago
    claire is nathan's daughter.
  • Sylar · 1 year ago
Peter's old man's ability is something to do with paralysis. He said it to Angela, "But you wont be able to move".
Also when Maury Parkman is visiting Peter's Dad the doctor taking care of him isn't moving, the whole time. Assuming that the doctor isn't working for Petrelli and knows all of his plan etc, there is no way that they would let him stand there the whole time!!
  • Season 2 Didn't Suck · 1 year ago
It's entirely possible that Dallas Petrelli's power is that he can immobilize people, like he did to Angela after her precognitive sequence. So he immobilized the doctor!
  • sylarpetrelli · 1 year ago
tim kring is putting absolutlely no logic at all and it's just stupid.
they are going way too fast compared to season 1. why did clair just sudennly go bad. why did hiro just stab ando without any hestitation. worst moment ever. Yet worst episode ever. i think i'm starting to lose hpe on heroes. there is no character devolpement whatoever. plus there's so much more to argue that i'm too vexed to go on
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago

From NPR's 'All Things Considered', June 17, 1999
"Chris Hosken reports that the US Open Golf Tournament got underway today at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in southern North Carolina. Local residents have been looking forward to the event, but their excitement has been marred by a controversy over who can legally use the "Pinehurst" name. Resort officials have threatened to sue local businesses that use the name, arguing it is a legally registered trademark and belongs to them. Residents say "Pinehurst" denotes the town, too, and they should be free to use it."
    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?st...

...wonder if using the Pinehurst name is an assertion of the its entitlement for free use, or maybe I'm just reading into this too much.

Seems to me that the writers of the show wanted to show that no one entity has exclusive domain over the name Pinehurst, or maybe I'm just finding unfounded connections...

the other thing that bothered me was lastr episode, how the hell did peter know where mohinder was in the future in issac's loft. and how did he know sylar can paint. and angels and monstors is like a monstor movie. i t does not make sense maybe thats why the show's rating is downb hthe drain lol- can someone tell me what that means.

  • Tommo · 1 year ago
I think all the guys on here that think Ando is dead are forgetting that Hiro can stop time, with Ando, just by touching him. What's to say, he didn't just stop time with Ando, discuss how they were going to fake Ando's death, and then resume time again and fake it?

    That's what I think anyway.
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago
I think your right. I think he could have easily done that.
  • Greg · 1 year ago
No, it is not possible because Daphne was there and would have noticed it!
  • Tommo · 1 year ago
Its possible, but like I said, it was just my theory. I don't think just because Daphne is a speedster she is immune from Hiro's power. We've only seen one incidence where is was able to move when Hiro had stopped time, and that is after she had been running faster than the speed of light, and she was dramatically slowed down.

She was standing still in the bar with Hiro and Ando, and not using her power, so therefore, Its my opinion that she would be frozen.

    I'm probably wrong though!!
  • 311 · 1 year ago
    to Tommo:
That could be true, he even said that there are alot of things he(Ando) doesn't see. Maybe he will just go back to when he stabbed him and just not stab him? Lol I dunno, but it sure was sad to see Ando die. I never wanna see that again.

    to D:
    1) Peter’s scar, what’s it from?
Peter talks about a "war" that had been going on, I think we can assume(after ep5 with future Peter), that any injuries Peter takes when he can't heal will stick around.

    2) what’s petrelli dad’s power?
unknown at this time, Angela said he thought he was invincible.

    3) who else is natural power vs. synthetic power?
    unknown

    4) who’s sylar’s dad, is it arthur?
Yes, Arthur is also Peter and Nathan's father, but I'm guessing u knew that.

    5) is it actually possible to remove powers and they haven’t figured it out yet or is it impossible?
In the future from season 1 episode 20, Mohinder says himself that even with 20 years more research he could not reverse the effects. I wouldn't say it's impossible though, not at all. Look at the Hatian, his ability could easily be sampled, and maybe with some luck yield results.

    6) why is peter trying to kill people if it won’t help him get their powers like sylar?
Peter is now suffering from the hunger, a side effect from Sylar's ability. He can't control himself to some extent, it's new to him. He says to Angela that he wants all the secrets she has out.

    7) is ando dead?
It looks like it, what a sad ending for him for now.
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago

    to sylarpetrelli:
Peter may have guessed or went there to see Issac. After that he teleports to Sylar's. Seeing as how Issac wasn't at his loft I guess he assumed Sylar had taken Issac's power. Angels and Monsters is the title because If you listened, you would notice that every person has good and evil within them. It's all about the struggle to be good or evil. The ratings are down because some people are poorly educated or cannot follow a deep show. If you want shallow then watch Chuck.
  • Pyropuppy · 1 year ago
Thank you 311! I'm tired of people saying that there is no logic or continuity with Heroes. With the exception of the alternate futures and some minor characters being never heard from again, the show has maintained a rather impressive continuous story thus far. If this show gets cancelled because of all of the naysaying fools who can't follow a plot from episode to episode I am going to go all "Sylar after they killed his kid" on your asses.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Oh and Claire didn't suddenly go bad, she has been heading in that direction for a while now. Even around the failed times of West, when she started to ignore her father for some fool. Her birth mother, Sylar, HRG, all of them have caused her to darken. Claire lost the ability to feel physical pain when Sylar opened her hood. Do you even watch this show?

I think Arthur Patrelli's power is the same as Peter.. But he is able to control other heroes powers on themselves so they cant fight back.. He took over Angela's dream and when he was communicating with Maury, only Arthur was able to talk in the mind, whereas Maury was unable and had to talk verbally without his power..

Heroes is the Greatest and if you cant follow the storyline, stick to Fox Kids...
  • miloisahottie · 1 year ago
Maury can just read Arthur's thoughts. duh! that's his power. and I'm assuming since Maury had to speak verbally, Arthur cannot do the same, so perhaps he does not have absorbing powers like Peter and Sylar.

I was thinking why Mrs. Petrelli needed Hiro to dig up Adam and after last nights episode, I've come to a conclussion that he's needed to heal Mr. Petrelli. Hiro thinks hes needed to help him, but that's wrong.

I'm not sure Sylar heard HRG tellingthe Vortex guy to kill Sylar, er, I mean Gabriel, cause he would have lost his super hearing ability. Not being a pro at this myself, isn't it more advisable to talk privately with the person you want to hire as a 'hit man,' rather than doing it with the person you want them to kill right there?
I believe the reasons to set it up first are 1) so you know if they will do it, 2) you don't have to do it in front of your adopted daughter who already has trust issues, and 3) the would be assasian may jump into a vortex if you don't. HRG has a lot to learn about taking a hit out on someone.
Sylar recovered pretty quick from that broken neck that Peter gave him, too bad Peter couldn't heal as quickly from being thrown into a wall! Peter really needs to grow up, and stop being such a wuss.
For someone that can stop time and space, Hiro is pretty easy to get away from. All you need is a jealous bartender to punch him, and don't worry he won't go back in time to stop it from happening.
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago
I know Peter just keeps getting his ass handed to him and he is by far the most powerful heroe
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Sylar did hear HRG, because he comments on it after, when they're outside the house in the car.

Hiro and Peter both need to freeze time and rewind time alot more often. Hiro said he doesn't want to go into the past anymore but that was BEFORE he stabbed Ando.
  • Tyrone · 1 year ago
Gabriel actually doesn't comment on anything Noah Bennet says. If he did, I think he would've said a little something about Noah trying to have him killed.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Yes he does, watch the vortex man episode. Watch the part when Claire, HRG, and Sylar are all in the car in frnt of the Bennet house. He says "You used Claire to find that poor man, and then you used him to try and kill me, because to you, I'm just a monster."
  • SiRRah · 1 year ago
I am still not sure Sylar has completely recovered all of his powers back yet, it has been hinting at that this whole season so far. So technically, Sylar might not have heard everything HRG was saying to Canfield and Claire. Sylar so far has only been using a few of his orignally stolen powers i.e. telekinesis
  • Pyropuppy · 1 year ago
I think Sylar did hear HRG talking, but couldn't or wouldn't do anything about it because he's got some emotional self-discovery thing going on. I think he wants to change how other people think of him, but he's not quite sure how to do it just yet.

Best episode so far this season! I can't wait for next week. I can't believe Hiro killed Ando. He can't be dead but Hiro can't go back in time and save him or else everything won't work out. I'm thinking he gets healed somehow and gets powers and comes back at Hiro for killing him thinking Hiro is really a villian.

Did anyone else watch the preview for next week? I watched it in slowmotion and Flint (the fire guy from level 5) was in Arthur's army. I betcha Claire kills Meredith next week too thanks to Eric Doyle. This will make her even darker.

is there anyone who isn't a villian??

Anyone remember in season 1 where hiro came to peter and said save the cheerleader save the world ? and he looked all badass with a sword and not nerdy etc. ... well i noticed he wasn't with ando then either o_o i wonder how that's going to play out and i can't wait to see badass hiro
  • Tray · 1 year ago
OK, He didn't lie about Matt's power technically.

The Hiro you know in seasons 1 and 2 would NEVER kill Ando, that's just BS! No i don't believe he suddenly stopped time to plan it because Daphne can move faster than 'stopped time' which is why Hiro can't do anything about her.

What i don't get is that Hiro gets killed twice-once by Ando, and once with his own sword...which one is the correct future?

To advance the stroyline with Claire, they needed a bad guy who was able to kill her, thus black hole guy:in and out in 1 episode. It seems that whenever the writers need something particular, they can invent it and kill it off whenever, and that's just gay.

I don't know if Arthur can 'take over powers', the reason he couldn't talk to Maury was that he couldn't talk, Maury had to read his mind to find out what to do next. He definately wants Adam to heal him, but does Adam want to do it willingly? He's had a lot of time to think in that coffin...
  • Hiro · 1 year ago
Hmm I wonder if Hiro did that because of the futuristic threat against himself, via Ando. Without thinking he killed Ando... maybe Adam, who already doesn't like Hiro, comes in to revive Ando. Ando will be pissed and want to go after Hiro, and maybe Hiro's vision will come true. Where Ando gets his powers from I do not know though...but wouldn't it be ironic if Hiro tried to kill Ando to stop that prophecy from happening all the while that's exactly what the prophecy called for?
  • the brain · 1 year ago
Thats the smartest thing i heard on this website so far. Of course Hiro wouldn't have a problem capping ando. He was killed by him in the future. So his self interest will override his friendship. He looked excited to kill ando like he was solving a problem. I think adam will somehow give him his blood just to see how the Hiro and Ando saga plays out.
Peters dad probably has a different power than him. I think he has sylers power and peter and syler are fraternal twins with two different dads and Angela gave the wrong one up for adoption.

Isn't that the best theory you have heard yet

Wouldn't It be interesting If Ando lived and took revenge on Hiro instead? Maybe that's why the betrayal happens in the future, who knows. Just a thought.

I just got a theory about Nathan and the Haitian! Remember how a lot of us were wondering why Nathan could fly when he was so close to the Hatian ? • Nick · 1 year ago
They've been playing a little fast and loose with just what powers Sylar still has. He's still got telekinetic (clearly). The future Sylar has painting the future and nuclear, although he could have picked those up from someone else in the next four years. He got healing from Claire, the Banshee-voice from Jesse, Midas power from Bob and telling the history of objects from Bridget. He may or may not have used his super hearing to listen in on Noah (or maybe he just read the body language and the gun to the head and the fact that Bubbles jumped into a black hole and figured it out). We haven't seen his turning-things-into-water power, his super memory, or his freezing power (not that we ever saw him use those anyway).

They kind of wrote themselves into a corner in season one by making him too powerful to be stopped, so they decided to take away all his powers with the virus except when we say so and we need it to move the story along. I think you've gotta give him back all his powers if the show's to retain any internal consistency.
  • Tyrone · 1 year ago
In complete agreement with this. By giving him back all his powers they'd dodge the plot-holes-corner they're putting themselves into right now.

Nobody is ever too powerful, everybody has a weakness. If vortex man didn't play magician and make himself disappear, he'd be one make to take down the "immortals". Also, Maya could possible put her permanent sun glasses on to take them out. So really, no Hero is truly to powerful death, you just have to find the right person.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Actually Sylar does use his memory in the online web episodes, to learn how to drive a truck and to remember parts of the list.
He uses the liquid ability to show Mohinder(when he's pretending to be Zane Taylor). He also uses the freeze ability in the same web episode listed above to stop the cops from chasing him. He does have all those abilities, check the Heroes wiki.

Sylar tells Claire she can't die. I'm not so sure about that. She's got regenerative abilities, but to what extent? She cut off her pinky tow and it grew back. What if she cut off her whole foot? An entire leg? Both legs? At some point you've gotta start wondering where the mass is coming from. Unless they're disregarding all laws of physics, it's not just coming out of thin air. Would she have to eat a lot of really big meals to grow back a pair of legs? What if you separated her head from her body? Could she eventually grow back her body from her head? Would her body grow back a new head? If you put her in a room with no oxygen, she'd presumably suffocate and "die" until there was air again and spring back to life like when the root got stuck in the back of her head. But how long could she be preserved in this state of suspended animation? I would think that her body would start to decompose eventually.

Anyone else with any ideas on how to kill Claire?
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Simply cut off the head, Adam Monroe says "There's no coming back from that one." In the episode where they meet up with Victoria Pratt.
  • Destro 24 · 1 year ago
My question was her whole " I still feel pain thing ", before Sylar numbed her up of course. I remember when they had her torso and ribcage ripped open on the autopsy table and she barely even whimpered. I think I might have been screaming my head off. Maybe she just had a real high tolerance for pain or something. And speaking of heads coming off, lets not forget mama patrellis dream with claire lying there domeless.

The writers have redeemed them selves with me; Clearly everything has been very carefully orchestrated...Mr. Petrelli

I was right when I said Peter was going to get Syler's hunger and I was right when I said Maury was responsible for Linderman.

So here is what I see coming; Syler and Peter are going to fight as we see in the next episode...Either Peter is going to split Sylers wig and see the genetic side effect of the hunger; Then remove it inside his own head; Then he will tell Syler so he can get rid of the hunger too.

One will cut the other not sure witch but my money's on Peter only because he has it bad!...Gabriel is trying to change.

Pinehurst is controlling everything; Everything is going in only one direction...Heroes will be FUGITIVES. But who will be the heroes?

Syler's expression was clear, he was trying to understand what was going on; I'm sure his expression would have been different if heard what he was saying. You don't need sylers power to see what was going on even at a distance.
  • anu naki · 1 year ago
Just to set the record straight: As frustrating as it might be that Sylar has lost all of his Acquired abilities from the virus....this is what the writers have confirmed. He was able to hold on to telekinesis for some reason. They explained that it had something to do with the fact that it was his first acquired ability and bonded with him to the point where it's inherent in him like his intuitive aptitude is.

Therefore, he was not able to "hear" Noah's plan to kill him (otherwise he would of reacted - don't you think?) He wondered what was going on, that's it. He later learned of Noah's plan, probably after brushing up against Claire again and downloading that info from her using the power he got from Bridget.

I agree that black hole man shouldn't have died. He could have been Noah's best friend (definitly as asset to the company)
  • 311 · 1 year ago

Retroactive continuity is a permissible device in comic book writing. The writers have "fortunately" developed a number of underlying methods of undoing, side-stepping and/or preventing plot-holes:

    1) Time traveling abilities

The Hiro that visited Peter on the subway during season 1 could hypothetically be from a number of varying timelines that no longer exist. We know there was a prevented New York destruction timeline. There was a global pandemic prevented timeline. There was also a timeline prevented by Sylar obtaining Claire's power as expressed to Peter by Angela. Whatever events may happen, so long as at least one hero has the ability to time-travel, the future can be rewritten.

    2) Mind-control and illusion-generating abilities

With the introduction of the "puppet-master", Parkman and his father, the ability to warp one's sense of time and space can be blamed for altered motivations on the part of some characters. Likewise, the ability to both change one's own appearance and someone else's appearance means anyone at any time could be anyone else.

I hope I'm wrong about this, but with last night's episode, and the previews for next week, I see a dangerous trend.

Could we be headed into "Villain of the Week" territory? It's the same problem that drove "Smallville" into obsolescence after just two seasons. Each week a new villain to fight, very shallow characterization, and killed by the end of the episode. Canfield seemed like an interesting fellow, now he's gone. Jesse could have been cool, and the German as well. Both gone in a single episode with absolutely no characterization. Puppet man next week, and I imagine he'll be gone by the end of the episode too. These guys need to stick around for a while, maybe show up in subsequent seasons, because I can see a situation where we need more bad guys next year, and they have to invent a whole new crop of them (and new powers, too - wait until they get to the bottom of THAT barrel) because everyone else is already dead.

I still don't get why Peter has to start slicing skulls. Okay, I get it, he has the Hunger, and that makes him dangerous. Cool. I like that. But why does the Hunger manifest as a need to cut open skulls? Sylar's cutting open of skulls was his particular response to the Hunger because that's the mechanism by which he steals powers. He was hungry for more power. It made sense for him to do it. Peter keeps saying he needs to understand people's intentions and secrets. He's a psychic! Raid those people's minds, and do it in a fantastic fashion. Pillage their thoughts and leave them as empty, mindless shells. You have no need to cut open those heads! It serves no purpose other than killing. He can take their power without scalping. Psychic intrusion would be a much more efficient way to determine a person's motivations and secrets than taking a gander at their gray matter. You can't look at the physical structure of a brain and see the memories and thoughts stored within. He simply has no real reason to cut open heads. What's the point of understanding something if you are only going to destroy it?

Oh, that's right. He's the new Sylar. He's even got the watch...
  • London Hero · 1 year ago
He needs to cut open the head to read the brain to understand.. Thats what the power is, to understand things and thats the only way to do it...

Reading minds does not mean that you will understand, you will just know what the other person is thinking.. Not understand why they are thinking that, as they may not know themselves...
  • MidnightSun · 1 year ago
I think the only reason he cuts people's heads open is because the 'hunger' works differently for Peter.

Sylar used it because he hungered for more powers. Peter uses it because he hungers for more knowledge and secrets. I think somehow he thinks that if he cuts open the minds of a person, he can see everything inside it; know their secrets. But I don't think it'll work like that. Each time he tries to do it, he either stops himself, or someone else stops him. He never really gets to look at the brains himself.

As for the possibility of him just looking into their mind and take what he wants, there's one flaw. He doesn't know how. People with these abilities don't just automatically learn how to use every aspect of said ability. They have to be taught or they have to learn it themselves. Matt still can't even use half of his ability. I think he knows like 25% max. Maury only knew how to use around 73% of it if I remember correctly.

Peter only knows how to use 27% of his ability. Im not sure if that's collective between all of them, or just his natural ability. So I think that Peter can only hear what you're thinking at the time. I doubt he can do something like Maury or the Hatian and just go in and see everything in your mind.
  • Casey the Great · 1 year ago
Ah, but he does know how to fully master and use all the abilities. Now that he has Sylar's ability, he can understand the big picture. He understands all the abilities he has acquired and exactly how to use them.

Don't believe me? The writers and show-runners have confimred this in their weekly question and answer session.

"Q: With Sylar's ability, can Peter now study his own mind and unlock all these dormant abilities?

    A: Yes."

Some of those characters I think were too powerful to keep in the cast. Hell I think Hiro's powers are too damn encompassing. I mean it's not enought he can go to anytime he wants, but he can also teleport anywhere he wants, when the hell is he gonna fight that damn dinosaur anyway?

The german's control over all metal would've made him like magneto and it would have fueled the critics calling this show an X men rip off. Vortex man was cool but how do we know he can't just black hole the whole damn planet and end the show prematurely. We already have a firestarter with Claire's mom, so no need for blue flame hands guy, and I guess the Jesse character was just a casualty. He was kind of cool and not too powerful. Hook him up with some Claire blood.

This is what I understand about heeling on this show; "wrench in the machine" The brain can be destroyed and always regenerate but an obstruction in the brain keeps it from regenerating.

One of the items in the volt when Peter stopped the virus was a brain; another regenerator? could be, It's never been explored.

Ando and Hiro; No where does it say that the red bolt kills Hiro and the best way I can see someone breaking up a team...Divide and conquer; Ando is cured with blood (who's?) and given the formula so he can stop Hiro.

I admit that the 1st scean with Hiro and Ando looks grim and final, but that could've been a power out of control not exactly the end of the world.

I think many people just miss the paintings depicting spoilers how things will...Or might go down...Sorry but this time there is NO guide and good and evil are blurred beyond our understanding. So just enjoy the greatest show ever!
  • Boogieman · 1 year ago
If you watch it carefully you will notice; Peter can't use his mind reading power ever since he got the hunger. Every time the hunger strikes it's when he tries to read minds. I would imagine it's clouding his ability and forcing him to need to see it while it's happening.

With Syler he couldn't read minds so it was cut and dry for him.

What secrets are you hiding from me MOTHER! I'll cut your head open and take it...lol that was freeking sweet!

For those who said Pete is still a wimp; With barley any effort he snapped Sylers neck and with even less restraint he tried to cut of his mothers head...And he was facing away from Syler. He has come full psycho, the mans a beast.

Also, Maury Parkman tells Arthur Petrelli that Adam Monroe was abducted by his "team" and will be there tomorrow. His team contains a speedster and someone who can bend space-time, therefore, couldn't Adam be there right now?

The power to see how things work; The hunger for knowledge...The hunger being a by product of the body wouldn't lead you to open a text book and see how things work, it would have to be something in the body something the body knows carry the answers. Makes perfect sense to me.

First of that is funny....vilian of the week territory, real funny. but I acquiesce, reason for concern yes, will it go there, Hmmm.

Consider the variables working now, my guess just like any journey to the end, everything happens for a reason, that being said, Don't rule on anything just yet, Canfield may come back. I still think there may be more to his story. Or maybe all of this is going on to shape the end game, cause right now, is there one? I mean our heroes are in disary, the line of good vs evil is blurred. at least until next week. I say keep it going as it is, just like in this episode, some of the plot holes were tied up, some later down the road.

Remember the name of this volume is villains, and like anything, the villians have a story too. As I'm sitting here, I think the writers are probably covering both ends...we've seen the heroes world, but the villians have one too. So it brings us to this, of the villians who has what it takes to conquer the heroes. Or will the ultimate villian be the ultimate hero. Hmmm
  • Jeff · 1 year ago
Any event perpetrated by "Peter from the future" or those who he has effected in the past could have already changed the "future". Likewise, the fact that Hiro has seen the "future" and is acting in response to knowing it has could have impacted those events from occuring. At the time when Hiro saw the future, the many events and chance happenings that occured to cause that "future" may not have currently happened. New York was never destroyed and the Ashanti virus was never released in accordance with the currently accepted "present" timeline. The future that "Peter from the future" once left to stop his brother ceased to exist the second he shot his brother. However, when "Peter from the future" took Peter back to the future, it was not unknown to "Peter from the future".

If the future "Peter from the future" took Peter to see were different, "Peter from the future" would have reacted differently. Continuity?

Future Peter (1) takes Past Peter (2) into the future where they meet up with Future Peter (3) before he decides to travel into the past. As they meet Peter(3), Peter(1)'s past, which would have been Peter(3)'s future is inevitably changed. Unless Peter(1) recalls having met two of himself at some point, the past has changed. If Peter(1),(2) and (3) decide to travel into the past to before Peter(2) met Peter(1), unless Peter(1),(2) and (3) can remember that at some point they were all visited by three Peters, there is a fourth Peter. How then is it possible that the future Peters would have traveled to the past if their futures never existed? Likewise, wouldn't they cease to exist the moment their actions impacted the past that never existed in their future?

If the "Back to the Future" principle holds, as the past changes to eliminate the alternate future, "Peter from the future" should no longer exist. However, if the "Time Machine" (H.G. Wells) principle holds, no matter what "Peter from the future" does, the future will always be the same because the past could not have been altered by nothing.

Just wanted to mention a few things.

When i saw Hiro and Ando's conversation from where Hiro was standing when Ando killed Hiro in the future, i thought that Hiro had it all wrong. Through-out the entire show he has been a puppet and that is what happened there as well. He assumed that Ando was the villain and that he was the good guy, because he could not think of himself as the bad guy when in fact he messes everyone else up. I think that in that scene Ando was the good guy and Hiro was the bad guy (whether he realized it as either Hiro is anyone's guess). I am really starting to dislike Hiro, not because he messes up all the time but because of his gullibility. I mean, he seemed to be getting better at not being so stupid after learning from some of the mistakes he made (going back and seeing his dad, messing with charlie, messing with adam in the past) but all that is going out the window. I think he is the person most to be feared by anyone who wants a happy ending. Because he could easily end up as another puppet with good intentions, and the puppet master doesn't even have to try very hard.

I am starting to dislike Peter too, and i used to love Peter. I should have seen his weakness coming though. Looking back, he has always been psychologically weak. Never morally or ethically suspect, but always weak. Even if the future Peter was morally and ethically suspect, i would rather have that Peter than some weak minded fool. This is exhibited in his inability to control himself. I mean sure, Syler has had a hard time of it too, but from the begining Syler not only had the hunger but embraced it, wanted it. He didn't try to fight it and lost. And now that he is fighting it (not even whole-heartedly) he is succeeding.

Claire has always been a kind of weak too, from the very begining she has always been easily influenced and manipulated. Both by people and her own emotions in regards to what the people said, even if the people were not trying to manipulate her to such an extent. Although of all the characters i think she is the most likely to have a black and white view of right and wrong. While she is manipulated to a degree, it's not by someone convincing her of something, most of the time she has been manipulated it's been by direct lies from people who had her trust. Now that she trusts so few people i think she has a really good view of what is right and wrong and she is an extremist in wanting to do what is right, like Peter was at some point ::sigh::.

I'm starting to like Syler a lot, i think he is one of the best characters right now, he is intelligent and independent. While he may be getting manipulated, he probably knows it and to what degree, and is profiting from it in turn. I do not believe he is inherently evil or a villain. He is more a realist than anything and he will always protect those he loves, although they are few and far between.

Nathan and Tracy are cool too, and Nathan has that ability to recognize good and evil, although if the means justify the ends he might bend them a bit. I think now that he has died and come back he is a lot better at not getting manipulated.

I hate Mohinder, of all the characters on the show he has been the biggest puppet. Always being used. And while sometimes he's like "i am not going to let you use me" he always gets used anyway. He is very very weak, with the smallet impulse ruling him.

I'm going to stop boring everyone.

from that epiosde we can see maury was a level 5 escapee and we also discovered he is the one making daphne and nathan see linderman put if i rember right nathan was seeing linderman at the very start before the level 5 villians had escaped am i right in thinking that. ando cant be dead and gutted about cranfield he would have been a cool character doyle is going to be nasty aswell
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Maury was actually trapped in his own mind prison thanks to his son, so who knows where he was. I don't believe he was actually in level 5 at the time of breakout.
  • Boogieman · 1 year ago
How about this? The events of the future have not changed because like the paintings what Peter and Hiro have seen were probably misinterpreted.

The only thing that Maury wants, based on his character is his power to abuse with; the fear we see when he's talking to Mr. Patrelli gives me the impression that he can take that away from him. The fact that he never mentioned Angela's predicament during his report to Mr.P leads me to believe that he had no hand in her paralysis.

He has been gone since Peter and Nathan first conspired to testify against him and kept Angela and Peter from seeing him in there dreams of the future.

Peter has a power I thought came from deveroux; but now I wonder...It's the same power he used in season 2 where he traveled to the future with out actually going; He saw him self and Kate being taken and was able to bring back the flyer...Remember when Adam said you never left. I think he can absorb powers permanently a combo of Peter and Syler's ability. Like you have a power he absorbs it taking it away from you for good.

Linderman could heel who's to say his power couldn't do the opposite as well? Make you sick and unhealthy...All this is just speculation for now anyway.

Hey guys, I checked the scene several times where Hiro stabs Ando, and believe it or not, it seems like Hiro just stopping time because he twist his neck a little bit, 34:22, as he made up his mind in a millisec. Just one little problem though... Daphne is there, and she would see everything that Hiro could do, and I don't know how he would come around that.

Yay, to Nathan for standing up to Angela, but silly boy for trusting Mohinder (the guy's an idiot, Mohinder not Nathan).

If only we could trust that Maya is dead now, but future synopsis' say she'll survive a further 2 episodes (just kill her now, don't prolong it!).

When is Claire going to grow a brain and listen to her Dad (apart from wanting to kill Sylar of course, he's fab)?! Seriously, trusting a guy who can create vortexes, is she nuts?!! I don't care if people 'mean to' do anything, that guy is clearly dangerous and needed to be locked up for his own and everyone else's protection whether he wants to accept it or not (I'm glad he at least was sensible and ended it all). Why is everyone this series acting so dense? It's irritating, they were much smarter in the first two series.
I don't get why HRG asked that vortex guy to kill Sylar only feet from him, didn't Sylar obtain a power to have super hearing from the mechanic, he could probably hear everything (unless the writers forgot to let him).

Eww, Doyle is freakin' terrifying. Poor Meredith having to kiss him.

Ando can't be dead, Hiro has either planned something with or without him or he'll fix what he's done. I don't believe they'd kill off Ando so early in the series (if at all), they're trying to trick us. Hiro couldn't even kill Sylar that quickly in series 1 so how could he possibly kill Ando so easily without a second thought, and for people he doesn't even know, it's a ruse. Gotta be.

A better episode than we've had this whole series though. I was finally gripped by the cliffhanger, I'd been missing that feeling of being desperate to see the next episode. First time I felt it this series.
  • intenseprod · 1 year ago
Ando of course is still alive, Peter's powers and different alternate reality's he's seen is overwhelming him, as to why he has to slice people's head I am not sure. But his intentions and Hiro's are still the same...save the world. Papa Petrelli is obviously a bad ass because puppetmaster parkman was afraid of him.
  • Leeloo · 1 year ago
Definitely the best episode. Very confusing but so good!!
This is a breakdown of what I think about some of the plot and characters.

Starting with the ending, I believe that Arthur Petrelli's power is simply to control other people (thoughts, movements...) He tells Parkman's dad what to do and also tells Angela in her future dream that she will have to watch and wont be able to move.
Of course great twist of having Old Parkman create the Linderman visions. Personally did not see it coming...

Hiro killing Ando? So fake, Hiro would never have done that he is too good. He probably stopped time they went back in the past Ando just put some kind of fake blood pouch and Hiro of course didn't hesitate to stab him in front of Daphne knowing he couldnt hurt him.
One thing I dont understand is why Hiro doesnt just go back when someone escapes him (I know he said he didnt want to go back in the past, partially bc of what happened with Adam in the past)but this is definitely not the same...

In regards to Claire, I would go bad too being lied to and being disappointed so many times by my dad. No wonder she is torn between right and wrong.
About her power, maybe I am mistaken but in one of the previous seasons she had a big piece of wood stuck in her head she didnt heal until the coroner took it out, plus in Angelas future Peter has a pipe stuck in his head and he doesnt heal he just falls over. Correct me if I am wrong but seems that things that stay in the wounds when they are head injuries dont heal.

One of the comments stated that writers just create and kill off characters at their convenience, that might be somewhat true, but Old Parkman cam back even though we thought he was trapped by his son so some of these characters might still come back when needed. Also it does add interest of seing all these types of powers (BTW: can you imagine the blast the writers have inventing all these powers, they probably just sit around and go like:'Dude, we should totally have a guy Vortex himself') LOL

OK, now sorry to bother y'all with all of this but it just feels good getting it all out there!
  • bow · 1 year ago
i agree with you that Hiro stops time to pretend to kill Ando. However, Daphne tells Linderman that she did not like the idea of killing someone and that she wasnt a killer. This makes me think that Hiro and Daphne are working together to make everyone THINK Ando is dead. just an idea
  • wtfing · 1 year ago
don't daphne need to be running if Hiro stopped time, for her to interact with him? How can they talk to each other if daphne is standing still after Hiro stopped time.
  • HeroesFan · 1 year ago
I basically am pissed at Hiro. He definetely killed Ando. He's not going to go back in time and save him, because he promised he would never go back in time. The only thing I can see happening with Ando is PineHearst Company brings him back to life, give him a power using the formula they stole, give Ando a power (red electricity), and Ando kills Hiro for Hiro killing Ando...
    :D
  • 311 · 1 year ago
That would be awesome, a spin on how we thought Ando killed Hiro for no reason.
  • baddman · 1 year ago
just to clear up a few loop holes, peter's hunger is not to gain power but it is just basically to learn more and gain deep knowledge, which mind reading alone cannot effectively get. while sylar used his hunger to gain power mainly.

For all those who are wondering why sylar didnt hear, hrg ploting to kill him, it was due to the fact that sylar lost all of his abilities (super hearing)to the virus except, his intuitive ablity and telekenisis. i guess he just probably figured something was wrong, due to hrg delay in getting rid of the vortex guy, so he became suspicious.

i am sure hiro did not kill ando, he is too good of a guy, i figure he ploted with ando to fake the death, just to look more sinister and to be accepted easily by the group. he probably stopped time and added the fake props to make the stab lok convincing. i know what some of you may be saying, he could not stop time without daphne knowing, but she could be apart of the plot beacsue she said she wasnt ok with some of the methods of the company, and also it would not be the first time hiro stopped time without daphne knowing, if you look at earlier episode, hiro actually stopped time and planted the tracking device on daphne with her knowing. and in there first encounter he actually stopped her for about a minute, i guess it was due to his lost of concentration, which made her unfreeze, same as when he tried to kill sylar in season 1 and time gradually unfroze. so u guys need to watch the earlier episodes of season 3, to actually see that hiro can stop time effectively even with daphne in the picture, am not sure if it is actually episode 2 or 3.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Sylar did not lose all his abilities from the virus forever, only until he was healed by his injection.

herofan: your probably right, and o may be revived by the company and later fulfill the prophecy of acquiring a power, and possibly later kill hiro. but why would they revive ando?
  • Leeloo · 1 year ago
You just said it lol I hadnt thought of it that way but would not be a bad idea, if they revive Ando he is going to want to revenge so they would bring him back to life knowing that he would go after Hiro. I still think Andos death is fake though, Hiro is too soft to pull something like that...
  • HeroesFan · 1 year ago
Well, I think that the company that stole the formula from Angela (PineHearst or whatever it was called) is going to revive Ando because they know about his relations to Hiro and are going to experiment on him with the formula... dun dun dun... well, thats a maybe. i really have no idea. :D
  • gallix ballix · 1 year ago
Its been known for a while (if youve seen the on set photos) that hiro is seen visiting a chinese magic shop and buying another sword, so its pretty obvious whats happened.
  • the brain · 1 year ago
Thats the smartest thing i heard on this website so far. Of course Hiro wouldn’t have a problem capping ando.

Isn’t that the best theory you have heard yet

Wasn't it a coincidence too that there just happened to be a samurai sword in the bar for Knox to offer Hiro, especially as they released that video before the season started of Hiro in a joke/nicknack store finding said sword and being surprised and happy with his find. Something about that sword isn't right.

    Ando is....

....not dead. Hiro teleports to a joke shop and gets a fake sword and some fake blood. Just like someone above said. Whether or not he discusses this with Daphne or Ando I don't know.
  • Destro 24 · 1 year ago
Yea, that blood looked just too fake, like one of those old 80's horror flicks, it's like they tried to make it look fake. Besides Hiro already saw Ando in the future. Then again they bring people back from the dead at will on this show so nobody ever stays down for the count anyway.
  • Destro 24 · 1 year ago
I'm just thrilled to finally get the whole "is it really Linderman" crap out of the way. And then we find out that Parkaman's dad wasn't even the real guy behind it, it was freaking papa patrelli using him like a puppet. Speaking of puppets, puppetman is the freakiest dude yet.
  • Season 2 Didn't Suck · 1 year ago
    A couple ideas...

    1) I am buying into the theory that Hiro and Ando staged the latter's death. It happened so abruptly; there's no way Hiro would have turned on Ando like that, especially since they were joking walking into the bar just minutes earlier. I also agree with the theory that if Daphne isn't "speedstering", she can't be immune to Hiro's power.

    2) I think Arthur Petrelli has one of two powers: 1) the power to impose temporary or permanent paralysis on others or 2) the power to persuade others to do whatever he wants them to do. I think the second is more likely, for it explains why Angela can't move (Arthur told her not to) and why the Nightmare Man is doing his bidding.

    Thoughts?
  • 311 · 1 year ago
The thing is, Eden McCain had the power to persuade. I hope Arthur has something different, tired of seeing the same powers pop up. Like Tracy having freezing or West being able to fly like Nathan, or even Claire and Adam Monroe both being indestructible.
  • ThinkFast · 1 year ago
Hiro and probably Ando clearly staged Ando's "death" for one, there is a short production clip floating around of Hiro going to shop to get a fake sward and fake blood. It is entirely possible that this was doen before Knox and Daphne arrived too.
Also, IMDB (granted not the most reliable of sources) shows Ando returning for multiple episodes soon. He is not dead and it is merely a scheme by him and Hiro to trick the others into bringing Hiro into the Pinehearst fold so that he can try to find out what happened to the formula pieces.
Lastly, I like the idea that Papa Petrelli has the power of persuasion. It seems the most reasonable considering what we know thus far.
  • Season 2 Didn't Suck · 1 year ago
Another thought on Arthur Petrelli's power: perhaps he has Peter's power of empathic mimicry, except that the process kills its target. Adam Monroe could be the first demonstration of this, as he can renegenerate (meaning Arthur can walk again). It would prove Mr. Petrelli's immense power if he could kill someone who's been around for 400 years, and it adds another interesting layer to the plot.

Of course, Knox could just be bringing Adam in to use his blood to cure Mr. Petrelli, which would lead us back to the more likely theory of persuasion.
  • enlightened by heroes · 1 year ago
yeah, mental persuasion, to say the least. you can say to someone to die and they will drop dead just like that. but that is also the power of Maury. thought manipulation, whatever. I called that mimicry, intuitive mimicry. haha. AoE mimicry that give him immense mastery of that ability. He uses Maury's power on Angela, uses Adam's to heal himself.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
I have the belief that Adam is there for the cure as well.
  • Greg · 1 year ago
    A couple quick points:

The four people that Angela Petrelli sees in her vision from episode two are Knox, Maury Parkman, Tracy (or is it?), and Adam Monroe...so does Adam really die?

Also, don't forget about Tracy and Niki's other sister...maybe she's the one who comes to "The Company" and wrecks it, not Tracy.

We see in that vision: Hiro, Peter, Matt and Claire dead... however Sylar lives (I assume). If Sylar whoops those guy's four collective butts, he could reattach Claire's head and use her blood to revive all the others.

In other news, good riddance to Maya!
  • 311 · 1 year ago
You never see Adam or any of the other 3 die in the dream, they're all standing there together vs Peter, Matt, Claire, and Hiro. Sylar looks up at them, the only one not afraid or dead. Oh and I love how he puts his fingers on her shoulders, that's really funny and creepy.

PS. Maya is prob not dead :\ not yet anyway
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Also at least Maya is easy on the eyes, people like Monica are just a waste of air time.
  • Mohinder · 1 year ago
Having never been fond of Mohinder Suresh's character or subplot, it has only just occured to me how that distaste has manifested to a sense of hatred towards him. I think that the whole 'Lizard man, cocoon guy' is really, really lame. Sure, it contributes content towards the 'artificial power' idea that is explored, but, for me, it just makes me hate him even more. I applaud the fact that Maya could possibly be out of the equation, (and thank god for Caitlin's plot hole, i couldn't stand another word coming out of her mouth)However, i just really hope that Parkman's totem ends up being some kind of lizard... even though its almost certainly a tortoise, because that way he could some how have a spiritual journey, ultimately ending in Mohinder 'the reptile' Suresh's death. PLEASE TIM KRING, bring me Christmas early and kill him off.
  • Sezza80 · 1 year ago
The question should not be 'is Ando really dead?' (cos it's clear he's not) but rather 'how did Hiro and Ando know Knox and Daphne would ask him to kill Ando?'. There's got to be some time travel involved so we need to know how and why.

Seems I could potentially be wrong about what abilities Sylar still has. I watched the episode where he takes Claire's power again and he says It's all lost but now found(as he picks up the level 5 documents). He retained his original ability and also TK and now has a few other powers(Sound Manipulation and Bridget's power). If this is true then they need to update Heroes Wiki with the new list of abilities.
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Ok this is all I could find about Sylar's current power status:
    http://heroeswiki.com/Gabriel_Gray_%28exposed_f...
  • 311 · 1 year ago
"Sylar, who was cured by a mixture of Mohinder's blood and Claire's regenerative blood (Powerless). However, it seems that not even this mixture was capable of fully restoring Sylar's stolen abilities: aside from telekinesis, this strain removed all his acquired powers (The Second Coming). While in an alternate future, a few of Sylar's abilities were restored (I Am Become Death), but it is not yet known when or how."

    From http://heroeswiki.com/Shanti_virus
  • 311 · 1 year ago
Like his present-day self, Gabriel has taken on numerous powers. Despite losing his ability to paint the future and to manipulate radiation due to the Shanti virus, by 2011 he has somehow regained these powers. He is also able to block Peter's telepathy, but whether this is due to a new power or use of his innate power is unknown.
  • Greg · 1 year ago
WTF people!!, If Sylar got his Telekinesis power back, he has them all back. The first person Sylar ever killed in the entire series was the telekinesis guy, so it's not an innate ability of his. Why would he get that power back and not the others?? Why is this topic even being debated??

You guys are taking focus away from the real questions like "What's up with Ando and Hiro?" and "When does Tracy's other sister come into play?"
  • 311 · 1 year ago
“Sylar, who was cured by a mixture of Mohinder’s blood and Claire’s regenerative blood (Powerless). From http://heroeswiki.com/Shanti_virus

That is why it's being debated. Did we actually see Sylar use any other ability this season, that he hasn't also acquired this season?

Honestly I don't like Ali Larter, no matter what role she plays she always cries about her powers. If I had super strength I'd tear people in half and like it. She cries like a baby because she froze one very annoying reporter.

Ando and Hiro may become enemies If Ando was really stabbed but survives. That would be the most interesting thing since Sylar vs Peter in my opinion.
