Heroes 4.11 Thanksgiving Discussion Thread
Anyways..
The deaf girl is kind of interesting, wonder how her power evolves, if it does.
I don't really get what Samuel wants from Peter?! Is it his powers? His body? Does anyone get that?? I'm from Holland and I sometimes don't understand what's been said.. cuz there are no subtitles and the sound isn't always that good... :( Soo maybe I'm missing something???
Spreeek je later gast!;) :p
Samuel wants to get his brother back. They have a time traveler already, and he looked like he was a lot more experienced than Hiro, so maybe he knows how to change the timeline without screwing things up. He probably needs Peter specifically because of his powers.
Also, when Samuel went to the time traveler guy, the one with the breathing machine, and told him he needed to be sent back 14 years, the guy smiled. It seems like maybe something happened 14 years ago
The deaf girl's power is unique in that she is the only one who can see it happen. Samuel's motive is yet unknown but my guess is that it'll have to do with revenge over redemption. If you noticed the three faces that appeared on Lydia's body at the end of Episode 2 are Peter, Claire and Sylar...I'm intruiged about the Sylar part and how he will resurface.
If u see season 4 episode 4 trailer, "the compass that change the world" ... interesting...
Samuel can control the earth underneath him, so basically he created a large sink whole that the house crumbled into.
As far as Nathan/Syler/Matt/Angela...hard to explain in short, but I'll try. Syler killed Nathan last season. He had taken Nathan's form because he is a shape changer & Peter drugged him. While unconsious, Matt replaced all Syler's memories with Nathan's memories, so that when he woke up Syler would really think he was Nathan. Somehow, Syler is now trapped in Matt's head, while his body is in Nathan's form, even though he is dead. Confusing, better just to re-watch the episode
As for the new girl, I find her as one of the more interesting so far in this show. The powers don't always have to be something shiny like throwing fire or moving things with your mind. Like how Matt started out with only reading thoughts, not putting them into people. It was way better back then, now it's all too hyped up and everyone are like superpowered. Simplicity makes it a better show.
The latest seasons aswell - apart from the first, have all been way too fast. It loses all sense of epicness if everything happens too fast. Like in Volume 3 after only 2 or 3 episodes we had a bunch of supervillains on the run and a peter in the future who had killed his future brother. In season 1 everything took its time and that ending was the best ever.
As well as Nijn88, I'm from The Netherlands :) I "kinda" enjoyed EP-3 but I'm not flabbergasted at all... I mean, it seems there are more questions evolving than answerrs...
Kind of like season 1, I agree with that partly. But looking at the ratings of viewers etc, Tim Kring and the writers should show more action/affection/thrill and all to keep the viewers and attract more! This is a way different situation then in season 1, keep that in mind...
I thought Claire changed, she did, in a way, being open, telling people like Gretchen what her ability is all about. But is that clever? I don't think so. This will backfire for sure!
As for Peter, I hate the fact he lost all of his powers because of "Papa" Petrelli... I always thought Peter was the coolest "good guy" of the entire show. I still do but now that he can only control one power, that really bugs me!
We all know Sylar will be back, sometime. I would say in the middle of this season. Who will be capable to bring down Sylar? No one, at this moment cause he's just too damn powerfull! The only way would be all the heroes teaming up against Sylar in a huge battle (perhaps with Ando supercharging all their abilities)
Anyway, that's about it for me posting.
I'd like your opinions on this!
Ciao, Remi
In regards to the Matt/Sylar thing: Honestly I kind of like this because it's new and exciting, and I was getting terribly bored of Sylar's character as well, he was too repetitive, and way too powerful. Hopefully when he comes back (which I think will be soon) he won't be so boring. Maybe a few of his powers won't work anymore for whatever reason.
Altogether I think Heroes is going to be great this season, I really like the idea of the carnival trying to recruit people. Honestly they don't even seem to be that evil yet. I'm guessing they have some crazy motive to take control of something, kill off normals, soemthing insane. But I think the good guys they recruit will take them down. I'm really excited.
And about the whole Sylar thing: he will gain control back of his own body, and he will have all his abilities. And Peter will also regain his power of being the mimc.
Hope you all remember the episode Hiro and Ando went to the future, it was in Season 1 Episode 20. Peter had a scar and was quite powerfull, Sylar still hasn't shown himself to the world yet. Everyone still believed he was Nathan.. And than when Nathan and Peter face, Peter discovers that Nathan is Sylar.
I know, it might have changed. But it is a good possibility of what might be going to happen.
I really like the gray area around the carnival. They don't seem like bad people. Some of them seem like they want to stop whatever it is they are doing. Others, like Samuel, just want to write the wrongs of the past. Either way, I actually want to know more about all the new characters, and see where this season takes us.
