Heroes 4.11 Thanksgiving Discussion Thread
As for the storylines above, looks good. If Ashely Crow is around that means we'll see Sandra Bennet too.
You know, sorta like Spock in Star Trek 3. If so, I love the irony/parallel/tweak.
So far this season is slow going but thoughtful. I caught the premier of Trauma and BAM! It was cool action at first - and a contrast to Heroes. Why can't they be heroes in the sense of saving lives? Sure, Peter's doing that somewhat, but UP THE ANTE!!! Not that we need big set pieces, but crimony - stop a huge heist, save hostages or prevent an accident. After 3 seasons, the characters are feeling incestuous and they need to branch out MORE than they are now.
Oh, and where's Dr. Suresh???
I thought it would be cool to have him back in India teaching on a new subject and trying to restart his life, disavowing his previous years involvement. The twist he gets is when a young man approaches him about a crazy idea that he has that there are people out there with advanced abilities... His dilema is he can't refute this man's evidence but wants to steer him away from this path.
It's also time for a new nemesis, one that's bent on finding Sylar and taking what he has. It would be great to have a 'hunter becomes hunted' theme...
I don't know how many times I've said this, but I'm a great fan of heroes.
I hope that Sylar remembers everything that happened inside Matt's head and that he will go for revenge. Hunt down Matt(would be fairly) easily, but he have to surprise Matt because Matt can use his mind tricks on him and then he's doomed.
It could easily be an interesting fight. I guess the ability must be tempting for Sylar too.
I know this sounds lame, but the show lacks action. They are focusing to much on character debt and all the "I want to be normal, I want my life back" thing that they screwed up on in season 2. I mean, why does every hero want to be normal!?
Yes, probably in the real world people with abilities would have wanted to fit in somehow, but this isn't the real world, this is a TV show. If they want their viewers to stay they need to put in some real action! That's MO anyway.
What brings me back to the show every week is the hope that Sylar will bring some balance again, some real good vs evil thing that really get this thing going.
How many doesn't want to see that epic battle with Sylar vs Peter? Although it would mean that one of them had to die and atm Peter can only handle 1 ability at a time, I really hope they change that.
I liked the time when Peter was the only hope and he was the only thing able to stop Sylar.
Now that Sylar is back, who's going to stand up against him?
Ok, let's face it. Tracy seems pretty unbeatable atm, but since Sylar has IA, he could probably understand how her ability work and hopefully counter her moves.
And yeah, I like Sylar a lot, but I like Peter just as much... let's bring balance back to heroes!
And right now, I don't see why anyone would want to do so, since she's not doing anything bad atm.
