Shoulda known drinking away your demons would be a baaaaaad idea! (*cough*MATT*cough*)
  • billy-the-kid · 4 weeks ago
Sam was the sh*t in this episode.

now that is how you end the show

also on a side note whats with killing off healers man peter better hold on to that power

last the moment they give peter back the ability to hold more than one power he will fall into a coma or become powerless again. In other words he is going to have one big burst of power (god level) then be just a normal human.

This episode was amazing. I was afraid that when Matt started drinking that the outcome we saw would be what would happen. I also like the way the whole Gretchen/Claire storyline is playing out. I'm just worried that I'll start to like Gretchen right before something bad happens to her. I'm loving the Carnival. I feel bad for Jeremy, but I figured when the cops were so against him he was in danger and I can understand Samuel burying them. I wonder what would have happened if Samuel had been able to get Jeremy out of there before he was murdered.

I remember reading in a review at the start of the series that Claire's new roomate would have an ability, I thought I saw signs of this when she was doing the guitar hero thing, the edges of the screen went fuzzy and she went 'im getting good at this fast' or something like that.
Anyone have any scoop on if she has a power or any signs hidden in the show?
  • Nakamura, Hiro · 3 weeks ago
Great episode! The ending fantastic, totally loved it!
I wonder how samuel got to teleport tracy to the carnival. Cause it wasnt an illusion.
I knew that sylar was faking his dissapearance haha.
Now i think sylar(matt) is gonna go find his body.
  • heroesgeek · 3 weeks ago
they used the the compose to teleport tracy to the carnival and that how sam is traveling throw time every now and then. i think the old man in the carnival is the one that created the compose because they mentioned that he was a time traveler earlier in the show. i loved the ending to! killer special effects!

Ok- great episode... but I am so confused- what exactly is Samuel's ability??? I know I missed something- darn my tivo!
  • sparkplug69 · 3 weeks ago
Samuel's ability is Terrak.... sorry can't spell it. In short he can control any mineral base object. ie mortar, clay, earth, bricks, and some ink.
  • annunaki · 3 weeks ago
Unfortunately, I am prepared that the 'big death' of one of the male characters may be Sylar or even Peter....but after lastnights episode - I'm leaning towards Matt Parkman. I think that "Mattlar / Sylatt" will go in search of the body that is "Nylar / Sylathan" at the carnival and once re-united, may kill Parkman for what he did. Or, someone else like Noah may end up killing Matt out of self defense knowing that Sylars true essence is inside of him. Samuel is a badass, but I think his goal may be to just form kind of a 'super-organism' of super-powered mutants - even though the means to that end may require sacrifices. There are strength in numbers, so he just wants to strengthen the carnival clan.

I never commented on the show before because up until now, I never really got into. Now, I feel like I should comment. I know I will probably take flack for this but last night (10/26) I was able to sit down and actually watch the show.

Let me just say I do have a firm grip on reality and I know the show isn't real but I thought the scenes were the young boy was dragged to his death were awful! I know they only showed the before and after scenes but DUH!, we all know how he got to the 'after' part. I have two sons and although they aren't angels, I would be horrified if anyone hurt them. Couldn't they have done something differently with that character?

I am glad I have missed so many other shows, who knows what other horriifc scenes with young people I have missed. I thought the show was about real Heroes, not another show about people who are magically granted special powers and then made out to be freaks and their soap opera lives because of the way they are treated.

Sad part is, in real life sick things happen to young people every minute of the day. I read about it and see it in the news, I just wish fake tv shows weren't showing it too.
  • unsunghero · 3 weeks ago
Relax, Name, the show isn't normally that gritty--at least not towards minors.
  • sparkplug69 · 3 weeks ago
I missed the first half, but what I saw was cool. Sylar/Matt drinking contest was interesting. Matt must be stupid if he thought out drinking Sylar would work. Like duh, he's in your head Matt he's not physically there.

Didn't really enjoy that episode, too much claire and no peter, no hiro, why do i waste my time i wont be watching any more I will just watch flash forward.
  • Sylar · 3 weeks ago
Flash Forward haha? 1st episode was great... Nothings happened since! Complete waste of time
  • Name · 3 weeks ago
I agree with the above, I didn't enjoy it at all. I found the whole haunted house thing with Claire and Gretchen to be cliched and far too much like some terrible horror film (maybe they were going for that). We all knew what was going to happen the entire way through those scenes and other than Claire finding out the sorority leader girl had an ability it didn't really do anything (no doubt the Haitian will make a well timed appearance and wipe the two other girls memories). I understand the concept and reason they have included Jeremy but the whole him in a cell, escapes then dies was predictable (and has creates plot holes I doubt they'll fill (a whole crowd seeing him kill a man by touching him, the police building collapsing)) and other than introducing Tracy to the carnival folk it didn't really serve much other purpose. The Matt and Sylar thing is a great concept and I like what they're doing with it and how they're doing it. My main gripe with this season is the focus on the same three storylines in every other episode. This episode ended with Claire finding out the that girl could be invisible, the building collapsing, Sylar taking over Matt's mind, but we won't continue any of that story for another two weeks. I wouldn't mind them intertwining the storylines, next week including the Hiro arc with the Claire arc for example. It's just becoming very disjointed

1st of all we assume the guy jeremy touched died.. he was still alive somewhat.. Yes it was cliche for claire to be in a haunted house but at the same time who'd hav thot she wuda kicked the invisible chicks a**!! I love how dark the show got with the jeremy death.. Because bad things hapn to everybody not jus adults.. & i like how the no-name girls saw the black chick disappear & claire on that rod.. Sylar & Matt another great battle.. I wish Matt wud quit being so dark.. It was a GREAT episode.. & there are no plot-holes for him touching that guy.. He cuda jus ben so worked up that he had a heart attack for all the on-lookers know & seen.. Im tired of everyone trying to point out plot holes that arent plot holes yet.. I think ppl jus love saying Plot-Holes.... Plot holes, plot holes, plot holes plot holes!! there does everyone feel better now.. this season has ben steady, stellar & great & theres just no pleasing u critics.. the only annoying person left is Matt, who cud be the most powerful person if he wasnt so soft.. But claire has a nice role now, & HRG is HRG, Peter has stepped into his man space & Hiro dying slowly is icing on the cake (although they better fix him) & theres not enough great things i can say about Sylar, Samuel &
Edgar!! Keep rolling steady & strong Heroes!! Im with yal all the way, Unlike the half-fans & bandwagon jumpers!!
  • Guest · 3 weeks ago
So someone who touchs people and heals/kills them, touchs someone in a crowd and he just so happens to have a heart attack? Get real. He died because Jeremy touched him, it was insinuated in the scene and it's the obvious answer. No-ones talking about plot holes, plot holes, plot holes, I mentioned that I doubt they'll go back and explain how the guy randomly dying gets explained to the general population, and I doubt they will.

And likewise, I'm tired of idiots like you who have to criticise other peoples opinions, it's a television show, thats what television shows do, they allow opinions and different views. I happen to think you're an idiot for being so blinded by a television show that struggled significantly through it's second season and is only finally picking itself up; yet I don't constantly make pointless posts calling people half-fans and bandwagon jumpers because I have the superiority complex you seem to display.

And this season hasn't been steady, every other episode follows three seperate storylines, there is no continuation from one episode to another - that isn't a definition of steady. That's my opinion, my view, if you don't share it fair enough but keep your petty, childish little accusations and criticisms to yourself.
  • warnpeace21 · 3 weeks ago
Well ur your opinions suck & thankfully dont count in the world.. why would we need to know how they explain it anyway now that jeremy is dead & you "Guest" i wasn't actually talking about you being a bandwagon jumper or half-fan but since you got so sensitive about you came out about yourself.. Jus let the directors do what they do cuz they're doing a great job this yr & get up out your feelings about what someone says that isnt directed at you.. But at least you kno ur character traits to call yourself out about it
  • no0r · 3 weeks ago
I really loved this episode. Felt really bad for Jeremy. The Matt/Sylar thing well its only gettin more interesing i really would like to see what happens next on tht front. I am quite tired of ppl critisizing all the time. It's like there's simply no way you can please them. They dont like too powerful peter or the powerless peter at the same time. Jeez give it sometime and all the pieces will come together just be patient guys!!!!!!
  • daniel_cartwell · 3 weeks ago
Just wanted to say I never complained about peter being to powerful, it's what I liked about the show, it meant that any encounter between peter and sylar was interesting and unpredictable because they had equal but opposite powers, for example peters had the ability to go invisible while Sylar had super hearing so he could work out where peter was in the room.

I get annoyed some times because I think a show like heroes needs to have more good vs evil action, the character's need more purpose. Heroes is not the same without peter and sylar at full strength and at the moment one has no memory while the other cannot hold more than one power at a time.

Just one last moan the idea of putting Sylar mind in another body was the worst story ever, not that i want Sylar dead but they had the chance to kill him and didn't why? Now Mat is having a drinking contest with himself cmon.
  • matheroe · 3 weeks ago
If you don't understand why the writer's didn't kill off the most popular person on the show you should stop posting. Hint T.V. is a buisness.
  • daniel_cartwell · 3 weeks ago
If You read what I said you would realize that I don't want Sylar dead I just thought the whole story involving him and putting his mind in a different body was stupid and a waste of time, that was the point I was trying to make. Sylar is one of my fav character's.
  • warnpeace21 · 3 weeks ago
I agree & besides, how cud they kill him off when he is immortal now & has moved his sweet spot.. they had no choice but to make him think he was someone else.. & it only makes sense to get rid of sylar his conscience wud hav to go somewhere else.. cuz he's too smart & to strong to jus be wiped clean with mind games. So he clung to matts sub-conscience.. This season is great & ppl are impatient.. Oh & side-note (claire kicked the invisible girl's arse!!
  • Nakamura, Hiro · 3 weeks ago
I agree with daniel_cartwell putting sylar in another body was stupid. They should of let nathan be dead and sylar, well he always manages to escape.
The fact that they kept nathan alive through sylar, only leaves fans with not knowing how to react.
Because you cant really feel bad for Nathans death, since he isnt all that dead, its confusing, and ruined completely the fact that one major character died.
  • warnpeace21 · 3 weeks ago
You make a valid point Nakamura, Hiro.. & i cant say that i disagree with that whole-heartedly.. Way to show me a different way to look at it.. (Sincerely i mean it).. But also they cudn't have him take over matt & be himself wen he got his memories back, that'd mean 2 sylars to bodies.. maybe they cuda went a different direction but they cant have more than 1 Sylar at a time or all hell wud break loose
  • carolleung · 3 weeks ago
I like Claire and Gretchen ...
  • Name · 3 weeks ago
I think the Sylar in the carnival is really Nathan inside of Sylar's body. He always seems to have Nathan's memories and not Sylar's even though Samuel keeps telling him that they are someone else's memories.

As soon as Sylar/Matt finds him, Sylar will leave Matt's body and enter his own...then they will show Sylar and Nathan in the same body just like they've shown Matt and Sylar in the same body...at which time, Sylar will kill Nathan.
  • FIP · 3 weeks ago
Uh, this episode. Kinda lame. Why waste so much time on Jeremy, a character that no one even cares about, only to kill him off in the end... Complete waste of time.

And dont get me started on the lame Claire and Gretchen sorority story...

The only interesting part of the episode is Sylar taking over Matt's body. With Sylar's intelligence and Matt's power, Sylar should be able to take over planet earth in one episode. If the writers have Sylar/Matt do anything less than take over the world, I will flip out...

And if they show those stupid colors in one more episode, I'll go crazy.... We get it, she can see colors. Big woooop!
  • sds · 3 weeks ago
My thoughts exactly. Careful, warnpiece21 might starting having a hissy fit and throwing fanboy names around at you. Opinions aren't allowed around these parts.
  • warnpeace21 · 3 weeks ago
quit being a Piss-Ant "sds".. Im actually getting tired of the colors now too, & i need to see her take a crap or get off the pot with her powers cuz the novelty of it has worn off
  • Pavan · 3 weeks ago
HAHA...the colors thing is funny....and yes, now it has started getting to my nerves...and the girl is she really deaf, i mean in real life...????, she seems like one....
Was Sylar not already in Matt's body? (His mind), though the scene was classic...it does not make sense....,
Samuel by far is the best character this season...his acting is superior to all. The only prob, what the heck is his power, i saw in one of the comments, he can move any mineral or earth whatever...., but what about the painting thingy he does behind lydias back???, he seems to be able to do whatever he likes...
One Power at a time Peter is not cool at alll, i have been crying about this since last season.
Ending of the episode...was really great....Samuel Rocks....!!!
  • sds · 3 weeks ago
Sylars mind is in Matt's head, he's only this episode (beginning with sleeping with Janice..) been able to 'replace' Matt as the controller of his body.

Samuel's power is confusing, not the painting on Lydias back thing - that's him controlling the tatoo ink combined with Lydia's unknown power (foresight perhaps?) - but his ability to 'teleport' people to the carnival (Sylar, Tracy...). And yes, Peters ability to only hold one power at a time is beginning to get very boring and tiresome, when push comes to shove and Matt loses control to Sylar (Matt's the only person other than Peter who would have a chance against Sylar...), Peter is the only one who could equal him. In his current state he wouldn't stand a chance.
  • jamu · 3 weeks ago
I loved that episode I really like where there going with this whole claire Gretchen thing to its interesting in a weird way but i feel like she needs some more action i like the sorority storyline but i also want herto fight a little bit more to
  • warnpeace21 · 3 weeks ago
& hopefully this episode was more about HRG & how he's affected by wat happens to Jeremy instead of the jus jeremy cuz that door was closed in a hurry for him.. But that was nice & dark episode more of a real feel
