Peter chose to get Mohinder's power after he got Sylar's so that he can use it to save people's lives. He then heard about the speedster and thought that it was a better ability so he replaced Mohinder's ability. Then he inadvertantly took Emma's ability which got rid of his speed ability. From the promo, it seems he will take Hiro's ability to teleport with HRG to find the healer, then take the healer's power to save Hiro and anybody else who's in danger when he's working as a paramedic. Hmm, I bet Peter wishes he had his old ability back lol.

Peter should use Hiro's power to go back in time and touch himself when he first meets Hiro on the subway when Hiro tells him Save the cheeleader save the world. Then he could touch his past self obsorb his original ability and obsorb Hiro's ability just by being in the same subway car. Then he could time travel back to the present and start obsorbing multiple abilities again. solve everthing. He would just need to be in disguise on the subway so his past self wouldn't recognize him and not move when Hiro freezes time.

So far so good. I like the way this is going. Focusing on a couple of characters per episode, makes the story or stories flow better. Hiro has been my favorite since he teleported into the Ladies room in season 1. Even Claire is not enoying, not missing Mohinder though. I don't think Peter should get his Orignal power back, it was actually funny when he lost his super speed. Sylar coming back is cool, Sammy and Carnies better not get on his bad side!

I suppose this weaker Peter is easier for the writers. Between the end of the first season and the middle of the second he could do just about anything, and we all kept thinking 'why didn't he freeze time?'. That became a weak spot in many episodes. Now there's a reasonable excuse for his inability to overpower every situation.
