Heroes 4.11 Thanksgiving Discussion Thread
But it sure looks like they're trying and it looks like this season will get better the longer it goes on but at the moment Lost,Chuck and the office are more consistent with how good the show is.
Why?Because they keep a balance with those shows.
Heroes keeps breaking that balance with season 2 it was too slow and with season 3 it is moving too fast and they keep leaving plot holes and not giving us closure or at least an Idea of what happened to West,Monica or Caitlin which feels a bit odd of you watched season 2.
I am sure they will fix it eventually and when they do Heroes could go back to being the best show on Television again lets just hope its before NBC cancels the show.
I'm hoping that this whole disconnect (religious Nathan, vengeful Claire) is actually a plot element. Some puppet-master influencing these people would be nice. Linderman may be an indication of this.
it's not your ordinary persuasion like eden
remember... she said i've got abilities far more than those you've seen...
and ps:
charles devaux.
he can walk in dreams. like the man parkman met.
but that guy has this certain painting "addiction"
:P
Speaking of awesome, Sylar and Claire bonding a bit? Oh god, that's going to rock. I wonder how long it'll be until everyone else finds out that Sylar's a Petrelli? Seeing Claire's reaction to that would be brilliant. I can't wait for the next episode!
im a heroes fan as much as the next guy - but considering the amount of time the writers had to think of an exciting story they really have stuffed things up.
i wouldnt be surprised if they axed heroes after this season - it really needs something special to come out of this freefall.
and to be honest i wouldnt miss it now if they did.
And why is there so much negativity on Season 3. Is it honestly that bad?
If you don't think the beginning of Season 3 is "up to scratch", then you're clearly not much of a Heroes fan. Season 3 is already shaping up to be an excellent season. Add in your comment that if the show was canceled now, that you wouldn't miss it, clearly marks you as a fly-by-nighter, and not a real fan by any stretch of the imagination. As such, I don't know why you bother posting on a Heroes site. See ya, go watch "Dancing with the Stars".
other than that, im excited i think aurthur may be conspiring with mats DAD ooh
BUT ONW HUGE PLOT HOLE THAT I CAN SEE IS
you saw the Flame thrower guy in level five just pointlessly showing off his flame ability in his cell? so how comes none of the other heroes can use there powers? and at end of episode 3 hiro and ando were in level 5 but in series 4 they were in level 2? this dont make sense could have been moved but still why cant they use there powers? i the haitian is in the building but evidentally he not always there
When I was on the 3-11 shift I missed a lot of shows, even those I tried to tape. The VCR kept messing up. Now I'm on 11-7 and I made a point of taking the premiere night off so I could watch it all live.
I like the fact that Sylar is taking on a new sort of role- a hero (or at least trying to). I think Zach plays it well. I especially loved the scenes four years into the future at the former Bennet house. (squeeeeeal! :D ) I can't wait for more villains- though I do slightly miss Sylar being the big bad wolf of the Heroes world. Oh well!
The show has evolved. It evolved in Season 1. Season 2 wasn't great, but a lot of that was Maya's fault and a boring Mohinder/Company plot. We're now investigating Peter a lot more, we're seeing more of Sylar and I'm sure that the ratings will come up, I still don't miss an episode and I know a lot of people who DVR the thing anyways.
I know this, Season 3 is light years beyond the boring Lost.
100% agreed.
Season 1 - Was great - best hing on the TV in years I thought.
Season 2 - Hmmm wasn't so good, too short & silly ending plus a very slow start.
Season 3 - Seems okay at the moment but not sure where they going with it, they seem to be trying to hard??
So in summary Season 1 was the best, Season 2 was the worst and Season 3 is somewhere in the middle. I will keep watching although I'm in England & have to torrent it. As I said above they seem to be trying 2 hard so far in Season 3, with lots of big things happening! But don't get me wrong I won't stop watching as I'm a loyal fan.
Cheers
Mr Withaz
I just hope we get many more seasons and these ratings don't cause the show to end!!! There better at least be 5 seasons!
This season is awesome, there is gonna be a huge showdown on the horizon, whoever is on the losing side i'm sure will be the main focus in "fugitives".
Season 3 is heroes saving grace, i can't wait to see what is coming next.
Also Hiro needs to travel back in time and kill Sylar when he doesn't have his powers.
Why on earth did Peter tell himself to nick Sylar's power? It had better make sense at the end of the series or else that was just stupid (much like Peter taking Ted's power, why didn't he just send Claire or HRG to get Ted out of the city?), I know we wouldn't have a series if things were simplified but they could write it better so the same outcome happened but more believeable (i.e. in series one Peter being forced to stay in NY by Linderman or Angela instead of voluntarily going there when he knew how risky it would be were he to attain that power). I dunno, I just hope it improves soon. I looked forward to this show for so long and so far it fels like a letdown.
heroes rocks and so lost.. i am a big fan of heroes but i have been watching lost ce forever and they have a good formula as to where the story is going. maybe heroes could pick up a few pointers but hey i love this season 3 so far!
I was so hyped to see Season 3, because it hits the ground RUNNING. I LOVE action. But I don't get some of these people, because Season 3 is the best season YET. Why? Because Season 3 is finally changing a LOT of stuff.
Ando and Hiro fighting? It may seem like a flashback of the Casino place, but think about it. If Hiro sees Ando KILL him, wouldn't that turn Hiro... evil?
Hiro and evil NEVER came together before.
Adam is going to kick ass this season, I'm pretty sure. He won't get locked back up. Hopefully. :P
Digging the pity for Sylar, he's become my new favourite character!
The worst storyline though right now has got to be Mohinder. But let's hope it gets more interesting once Nathan brings Tracy to him.
Heroes is an unbelievable show. The second season may have been cut off and ruined, but I'm SURE season 3 will be back with a blast.
HEROES FOR LIFE. \_|_|__/--|-\ (A very crappy helix :P)
Season 3 is great, best episodes I've seen yet, and all my friends agree. The ratings are low most likely because people just assume it sucks without watching it, thanks to season 2. I think the direction they're headed is awesome, "Angels and Monsters" shows that everyone, even Peter or Sylar, is human and has both good and evil inside.
The only thing that bothers me so far is what Hiro did to Ando, and how quickly they kill off new characters. Almost all of level 5 was owned easily, only a few remain. I thought Bennet spent his whole career putting these people away? They're easily beaten and killed all in the same episode. I like the Linderman/Maury idea, that was a smart way to return a very popular character. Overall Heroes is headed on the right path, tell your friends about the show and get them into it!
Extra
I see some bad posts above, some examples:
"One thing I never understood is how in season 1 when Parkman shoots Sylar (after he tries to get to Molly and has the fed girl with her gun to her head) the bullets don’t kill him and he flies away but he didn’t have those powers yet did he???"
Well lets see, even back then Sylar uses telekinesis to stop the bullets.... It was the first power that Sylar "collected". Look him up on the Heroes wiki.
"(Peter's)his mom’s got powers.
it’s not your ordinary persuasion like eden"
Angela Petrelli, although once thought to have persuasion, has been confirmed as NOT having that ability. Although I can see why you might think that.
About the Petrelli's: I really enjoy how Nathan has a synthetic ability. I think the climax of this season is how the "natural heroes" are going to be fit against those that were manufactured. Primatech vs. Pinehurst
Lastly, I wish to see the continued storyline of Monica. I personally think her power is not only unique but is also an asset to this upcoming battle.
Keep up the good work Heroes writers! I now have something to look forward to every Monday!
I am disappointed with this season so far, and hope the writers will find a way, to fix their mistakes.
And no I am not happy that Claire and Sylar, who practically raped Claire of her powers 3 episodes earlier, are bonding. Heroes is founded on the principles of good versus evil and at present these lines are blurred!

There's also a 4th season called Fugitives. New mysteries, new plot lines, new questions or new answers. If after Season 3, any of our questions is not answered, by God we have the right to rant about it.
