I'll march down there with you holding a pitch fork and a torch!!!
I'll get medieval on them if I gotta...
  • billy-the-kid · 9 months ago
All good shows have to come to an end i just hope the show just doesn't end open ended. I hate when shows get canceled and the last episode leave everyone saying "What happen, did it all work out, or did they really kill off all those Characters".

Lets be honest every good show just ends poorly. I don't what it is but have yet watch an ending I am happy with.
  • Glossy · 9 months ago
i know what you mean! but some networks get so much mail about that stuff that they bring back the show for a few more epi's to wrap it up properly.
I'll miss heroes so much! Seriously, i have had nightmares about the show being cancelled since it started, because its so great! if this show gets canceled, iw ill never be dedicated to a show again!!!
  • supes · 9 months ago
It wont be cancelled, ppl were worried about lost when it was in its season 3, and heroes is much better so dont worry it wont get cancelled, i'm 100% confident of that. I agree that season 2 and 3 aint as awesome as season 1, but season 2 was still awesome, and season 3 is ore awesomer than 2, and season 4 will be equally as awesome as 1, or as close as were ever get, but lost went through the same thing, there season 1 was awesome, but season 2 and the 1st 3 quarters of season 3 wasnt as awesome as season 1, but then it got back on track at the end of season 3 and season 4 and so far season 5, so i think heroes will d the same, and like i sid heroes is better, so all you heroes lovers out there CHILL!
  • Ravenclaw · 8 months ago
I hope your right, but Lost has higher ratings than Heroes in general, every TV show I've ever liked on nbc has been canceled after the first season except for Heroes, and if you ever look at the ratings that Heroes episodes get, season one and two have an average of 11 million people or something, season three has somewhere around 7 million, and the last episode had the lowest. Even though most people on this site liked volume three, most people in the US didn't, and volume four hasn't started to repair the damage yet. I'm not worried in the slightest about Heroes having an open ending, because enough people love Heroes to make nbc give a few last episodes to end it how it should, but there might not be enough people to get nbc to continue Heroes for another season. I think that if the ratings stay where they are or rise then nbc with give Heroes another chance, but if the ratings drop any lower, I don't see a hope for season four other than a few episodes to truly end Heroes. I say, everyone tell your friends that don't watch heroes to watch it, give them a little info on what they need to know in order to watch it, or show them the dvds of the first two seasons. That's what I've done and I've gotten two of my friends hooked to Heroes as much as myself, and now I'm working on getting two more to watch it.

Personally, I think that Fugitives will give NBC no choice but to renew Hereos for a fourth season. I think that if the writer can(and I expect that they will) really make this volume a good one, then season 4 will be guaranteed. I wouldn't worry about it.
  • Tarot · 9 months ago
What do we have in the works for plans? Petitions? Rallies? Any other ideas? If the fans of Family Guy could get Fox to bring their show back after being canceled, we certainly ought to be able to PREVENT our show Heroes being canceled in the first place.
  • AndrewK · 8 months ago
I think something needs to be done. That is for sure. Even if it means all of us writing letters to NBC stating that Heroes is still loved by its viewers
  • Tarot · 8 months ago
I don't suppose you have an address for NBC handy?

I was also thinking of posting something in my blog over on MyNBC. It's a long shot but seeing as it's on NBC's server maybe they will take notice. Most of what's over there is RP/ARG interactive stuff but I do write the occasional RL review of episodes etc.
  • AndrewK · 8 months ago
Sadly, I do not have an adress. The idea with your blog isn't a bad idea. I'd go for it. Who knows what'll happen
  • Tarot · 8 months ago
AndrewK, I'm working on a post already :).
  • billy-the-kid · 8 months ago
Let’s just hope “Fugitives” blows everyone’s mind and we will all be happy :)

I have to say super-healer and fish-boy love story is Lame.
I can do with-out another Claire love story but I guess if you want to see some kick ass fights you have to put up with some lame love stories too.

Season 1 was one of the best shows on TV..

Season 2 was ok.. Some cool stuff, lots of powers being used, people being heroic, good/evil battling, in all great.

Season 3 - cool characters loose their powers (Hiro/Peter), story starts focusing on 'characters' rather than people with powers being heroic.. Hmmm.. I hope NBC are not confused about why the ratings are falling like a stone.

The story was always being boosted by the powers and adventure elements, recently it's starting to die. Before they removed the time travel element it gave them a lot of flexibility, constantly keeping everything fresh, now it feels like we've gone back to the beginning again but this time, the story is getting old, they've run out of ideas and just started rehashing the first season..

Peter/Hiro need powers back ASAP, more powerful bad characters need to come forward, the whole thing needs to escalate.

This show was cool because people had abilities and were using them to save the world. Now it feels like the whole thing has been put on mute (possibly by budget constraints) and all the interesting people/powers have either been killed or don't use them. Maybe the writers got told to stop the amount of powers being used in an attempt to reduce the effects costs. Problem is we started watching mainly because of the powers so if you take that away you also take away the reason why people watch..

If this Monday's episode follows the same trend I'll be stopping watching too. It's a shame because it was a good show.

Grunberg confirmed it. There WILL BE a season 4 of heroes.
  • Heroes Nerd Grrl · 8 months ago
I Heard that the Heroes will be cancelled after the end of this season. I hope that Andrew K. right and there wiil be a fourth season. Tell em if any one out there has heard of Heroes fate.
  • XS · 8 months ago
it has already been confirmed that there is a season 4
whats unclear is how many volumes it contains
    anyone know?
  • Billy-the-kid · 8 months ago
I agree with Sebastian, the show is about people with abilities doing amazing things. I know some people like the show for its balance between interesting story line and people with super natural abilities.

I don't know I could be alone on this one but they should have an episode where they really go all out with people with abilities. Each episode for the most part just gives us a small look at what the show could really do. The best episodes are the ones when Sylar and Peter square off and tap into their bag of tricks. Not the episodes like Hiro and Ando taking out a no named guy who did not even have an ability.

I don’t think we are going to see a good battle of abilities until “Fugitives”
  • Billy-the-kid · 8 months ago
---SORRY SORRY SORRY this vol is called "Fugitives", Looking at the photo above I was thinking season 4 was fugitives because of the bad guys in the photo and talk about the villain Eric Doyle.

And I call myself a fan I Please let me keep my (Secret Decoder Ring)

I don't think we are going to see good battles of abilities until the 4 season.
    Not Fugitives!!!

When Season 1 came out, HEROES was definetly one of the much-hyped, uber-cool, fast-paced series one can think of. The season 1 finale was a downer although excitement fluttered as Season 2: Generations was coming months after the season 1 finale. Season 2 started with Hiro wasted and some character that we're loved in Season 1. Then Season 2 ended, with the effect of the writer's strike, the slow-paced story and the character's growth (which in my point is funny because the more we know the characters, the more they become irritating e.g. Claire, Matt, Peter and of course Hiro), thus, the poor ratings. The producers generally planned of Season 3 to be like season 1 and so "Villains" came to be, but it never was. The whole story generally sucked. The time-travel is way out getting stupid and the characters are getting stupid. Some parts are great but they generally points out to the main theme of the season and it boils down to the fact that if you want to create a good story, you have to get a more original and in the face of it all, HEROES finally let loose, trying to hard to get audience glued up when we want to escape. Then Villains ended worst than Season 2 and a new volume just started first week of February with the once-mistrusted-hope that the show can be as was once it was. "Fugitives" as the the second volume of Season 3 started with of course, our loved characters but then again, as last episode implied, there were the chracter we loved that turned to the dark side with there annoying self. One, is Mark Parkman, he' actually riding in the bandwagon now and that is getting full. The whole story can be good but I still am not feeling it, and even the ratings agree, with (correct me if I'm wrong) 6.9 which based on my research is the lowest. It's basically going downhill and that they tried to reboot the show but it can never be that again. Now, they're agian on the story of the whole state being ddestroyed by a nuclear bomb or whatever and that really is boring and that has been done. Personally, there can never be hope for the series and that instead of continuing the damage, why not cancel it and create a new whole one. I'll go watch heroes still but when watching it, it's like watching it, just it.

I posted the following to my blogs:
    Why we need Heroes

Back on 25, September, 2006, something fantastic occurred: the world was formally introduced to the phenomenon of Heroes. Of late, this incredible show and experience has come under fire from critics and others. Given the state of the world as it is, we need Heroes now more than ever. We not only need an escape from the everyday but also an inspiration to try and fix the world around us, even if it's only one small step at a time. Chances are most of us will never fly without a plane, read minds, hide in plain sight, or move an object by our mind's will alone, but all of us have our own unique gifts and talents. Heroes can inspire us all to use these gifts. I'll say this much: Heroes is the only reason I actually look forward to Mondays. I won't tell you it's perfect but even with all its problems it's still the best show on TV. I don't know what these Neilsen folks are watching but I can tell you I'm not watching what they are. Why should this small percentage be allowed to jeopardize what I love and make time to watch live and then rewatch via DVR? Maybe they are among those that have given up and don't have any hope. If that is the case, I feel sorry for them. I submit they should suspend their disbelief and tune in to Heroes. Maybe their outlook will improve as well. The bottom line is: we need Heroes.

  • mama3 · 8 months ago
I really hope Heroes is not cancelled. I agree that it is by far the best show on TV. Its sad because I think for the most part, people need their TV shows to be simple, they don't want to have to think and Heroes makes you think. Of course there are those of us who like to think and predict and remember and all that stuff, I think that is why it is not doing so great, but couldn't they put it on like USA network or another of their affiliates? Love the show and can't wait for tonite. And good job on your blog Tarot! Hope it works. Also I found this sight called cancelled shows.com or something, anyway I signed a petition for My Own Worst Enemy (that was cool too but abruptly ended) anyway, maybe we can contact them with a "Keep Heroes on TV" petition. I will look into it and see what happens.

I dunno much about television but this show has been great, like an X-Men current day TV show, except with characters myself and others enjoy. Claire(hot), Peter(Hero), Sylar(Villain) and the others who make the show interesting and worthy of our Monday night.

This show must go on, it has been quite a ride, from the Shanti virus to Peter as the exploding man. All of it has been great, and it has had it's down moments but overall Heroes is the best TV series I've ever known, since Sliders.
  • mama3 · 8 months ago
So I heard from the someone at tvseriesfinale.com, he will email with a link to start a petition and I will definitely post it...
  • Linderminion · 8 months ago
I would definitely agree that if the show is just too expensive then I would rather see a lower budget Heroes than no Heroes. Honestly I expected the end would come with one or more of the lead actors or actress becoming too big for themself like what happened with Buffy the Vampire Slayer everyone else on the show seemed willing to be part of any future for it but they lost their star. I figured that Hayden would eventually bail and Ali maybe eventually even Milo Zachary or Masi leaving Grundbergh holding the empty bag. I never thought they show could end because not enough people are watching it. Which is annoying because Heroes still has more fans than most shows and aside from Chuck is the only show I even watch cause Heroes leaves all the rest behind.
I hate to suggest it since I rewatch a lot of the episodes online myself. Of course I am their waiting eagerly monday night at eight every week also, but perhaps if there was a way to keep people from watching heroes online the fans would be forced to watch monday nights and ratings would go up and solve the money problems. I know everyone is watching but maybe encourage people too watch mondays and sit through the comercials and we can save our beloved show and ensure future seasons. I agree every show I have ever loved ended badly usually the whole last season is terrible which this one has not been so I have high hopes.
Also get out and start recruiting.LOL. I converted seven Lost fans and showed them the light bringing them to the cause of heroes. Get your buddies addicted, parents coworkers, anyone. I have only met two people who I could not get hooked by having them watch season one. Guys girls, old, young, heroes has something to offer everyone. Try it.

there is a site that started a petition to NBC to keep Heroes on the air. Check it out and sign for your fave show.

  • AndrewK · 8 months ago
I signed. Great work! I really think that we'll get somewhere because of this.
  • puppetmasters · 8 months ago
Isn't it a bit premature to start a non-cancellation petition in the middle of the third season? Or is this something they hold on to until nbc finally announces it?

I think it's funny how nbc is laying off writers and cutting back on
special effects for the show due to 'production costs' while at the same time
    producing new webisodes.

It doesn't matter how healthy the economy is when you're making
stupid decisions like continuing to produce 5 or 10 minute videos of crap
that does nothing to add to the main story line.
  • Fernando · 8 months ago
    heroes just cant end
    i love this tv shows
    is the best

    i signed.
  • badchoice · 8 months ago
they need to get back to basics, skip some parts, and it will be all right. it wasn't THAT packed with special effects in the beginning. it wasn't the effects anyways that got me hooked, as much as the characters, and they be going downhill...daphne sucks
  • Indian Girl · 8 months ago
Heroes is by far one of the best shows I have seen. It kills me to think that, even though it was renewed for the next season,it could get canceled because people aren't watching. Every show has its ups and downs, and Heroes is one of NBC's highest rated shows(Even if the ratings are down, it still is one of the highest rated)along with The Ofice(Which I watch) and maybe another show that I don't know.If they need to downsize, then fine. I'm fine wit that, as long as it keeps Heroes on the air. One thing though is why do they need to fire writers, why not just get rid of other money-saving items?
  • Indian Girl · 8 months ago
Okay, it is The Office and with. Sorry, for my spelling.
  • shelli · 8 months ago
They slpitted up,but how? I hope they'll get up back together like Jennifer Garner & Jon Mayor or Magen Fox & The guy from "Sarah Connor" series, who played Derrek(I think he's a bada**),or Rhinna & Chris Brown. I hope Mile's not dating a guy(That'll be disgusish, eek). I don't want 2 see him kissing a guy in real life!!!! (Man,I hate that!). Mile'll might hook up w/ a new girl co-star,& he(he's still cute)starting 2 dating her,& Haydie gets jealous & want him back. Haydie's acting like a totally idoit,& Mile don't put up w/ this sh** anymore(don't blame mile). I think he gives haydie sometime 2 clean up her act. I think I remembered they splitted in Nov.& they hooked up again in Jan. They're like brother-&-sister,I hope they'll be together again,& I'm guessing a on-&-off again couple.
I read season 4 storyline revovles around claire relationship w/ Peter & Nathan. I think she's not really related 2 them,& she finds out she's Peter's bride. I think he'll die at the end of this season final. But at the very end,she kiss him lying in his coffin. & then,he came back from dead;because his powers aborsbs hers. I think Tim Kring was writing it during "Fugitives" while Mile & Haydie're dating(I hope they get back together)at time. Or it was a part of originally story plot for season 1,but they changed it & thinks people don't might like an idea of 28yrs.old man & 17yrs.old girl are destiny 2 be together(means lovers) at the time. They changed them into uncle-&-niece,instead lovers. I don't known.
I was freaking out that'll Heroes get can the end of this season,& I almost kill myself. I heard not long ago it have 3 seasons left,& they're up until 2012. I'm glad it's back, but 18 or 20 episodes. What? Maybe, next season'll be like a modern verison of Watchmen or more like Euerka, but the town overrun by w/ superpowered people, instead smart peoples.
