My money's on Nathan being in grave danger yet again. I can see Angela seeking redemption for not protecting her son enough.

I think that the goofy shape shifting twist at the end of the season will be Sylar shape shifting into a woman, to become pregnant, thus having little Noah.
  • blaccjacc · 7 months ago
    Yeah.....that would be sick....NO DEAL

I'm still thinking he becomes a roach not unlike the one we saw throughout season 1
  • mattt · 7 months ago
That would be creepy, disturbing and outright awsome at the same time. That might make sense too actually, because sylar is gunna turn into someone 'shocking' (elle)
  • macmikey · 7 months ago
Why is it a foregone conclusion that the guy getting blasted is Nathan? From pic #2, Peter is the Petrelli brother on Sylar's right. I don't see anything in pic #3 to clarify which Petrelli it is, except that... this Petrelli SEEMS TO BE ON SYLAR'S RIGHT.

All Peter has to do is, what, touch or get near Sylar? Then he's got all those powers that Sylar has--which would explain future Peter's freaky abilities.
  • macmikey · 7 months ago
Having made that last remark... a Peter who can't die and a Sylar who can't die remind me of an old Star Trek: TOS episode ("The Alternative Factor," first season), about a character named Lazarus who has an antimatter counterpart. In the end, the only way to save the universe is to trap both Lazarus's (Lazaruses? Lazari?) in some realm between the matter and anti-matter universes, fighting each other for all eternity. That was the one TOS episode that kept me up at night when I was a kid... still gives me the creeps...

Agreed with Nathan in this one but that doesnt mean he will die with only one blast, but if he is being charged too much he might, like when Elle killed Caitlin's brother Rick. The only character to ever survived a blast from Elle, except Peter, Claire and Sylar that have or had regeneration, is West from 2x09 when he tooks Claire before Noah is killed.

From the pics that doesnt mean Nathan will die in that part, but for the creators it would be necesary if one of the character gets killed, cause of the two brothers and characters, Peter is the only one who can defeat Sylar from all characters, well soo to speak, making obvious that they may kill him.

Speaking of Nathan's possible fate, he may get blasted and fall down unconscious, or badly wounded and he dies after Peter and Sylar finish the fight, and has his last words with Peter and Claire. My guess is that Peter throws Sylar to the window behind him while he is blasting Nathan, the fight finish and returning with the Nathan's last moments, it will be hard to endure loosing him since he is a characters to hate and next to love, if they kill him I preffer the show comes to an end the next season, since it has been spreading that it may be short.

Besides, for the record, killing him, being near Claire, could be stupid, since she knows that she can heal him or reviving with her blood, remember at the beggining of season 3 when she wants to go to Odessa, Tx to heal him when F-Peter shoot him and he refured that Claire's assistance in helping Nathan to heal. Poor guy, in total he has died or about to die 5 times from all characters, this time he may refuse to be saved by Claire in decide its now his time, and accept his death, that coul be touching but still sad for fans.

Nathan reminds me of Krillin from Dragonball Z as far as death counts throughout the series.
I hope he makes it to the end though. I was assuming someone else might die and those spoiler pictures are just to make us think he was. Buut, then again, nobody's really been that close to Sylar's two choppy fingers and survived to tell about it other than the people who can regenerate. Even Ando was far enough away.

Anyways.. I want Nathan to live, but I suppose his death would be better than them deciding to bring back the Haitian just to have Sylar off him. That would suck.

i think the shapeshifting ability also has a side effect like sylars hunger side effect of his ability. the shapeshifting ability could have a side effect of making you believe youre the person you're shapeshifting into or just plaing making you schizophrenic, maybe absorbing memories of the copied one?

    like x-mens rogue perhaps?

i seriously thing each ability should have a side effect, the imbalanced ones anyways, or else theres no good plot anymore.
(like elles waterphobia or the spike to the nape for claire and sylar)

FINALLY! Someone who agrees with me!
Hiro's nosebleed seems to suggest that his powers have limits too. I hope they take note on your comment and really take the opportunity to flesh out the limits of Hiro's power because for now, it seems to come and go as the plot demands.

Even if it was something like Hiro can only use his ability so many times in a day...just whatever. An official explanation for his on-again-off-again powers needs to be implemented and fast!

I don't know maybe it will be Micah for some bizzare reason but I bet in reality it is Nathan.
  • anonymous :) · 7 months ago
Yeah it is possible that Nathan might die but I think if they keep bringing him back the show is going to become a tad boring. We know that Sylar and Nathan are going to battle it out in the end of this season, but Danko isn't sure which side he should be on because he knows Sylar is a murderer and a liar but he also knows that Nathan is sort of a hypocrit because he's locking people up who are just like him, and that's not fair. he also hates him because a lot of his friends have died fighting the heroes, as he's pointed out in previous episodes.
Sandra shouldn't die because I think that her character could do so much more, if they work in a particular way she could actually save the show. Like tricking Sylar into going somewhere where claire could be, and then stabbing him and burning him.. haha I know I'm soo violent!
Noah has to stay because he plays a really important part, and I think there's some part of him that we haven't actually seen yet, all his guilt and family problems could eventually tie into the series finale.
Peter CANNOT die, if he did i would never watch the show again, he and claire are some of the more gentle characters, who bring some mystery to the show- like, why is Claire so special? We know she's the catalyst but Sylar clearly knows something else about her that we dont and she wants to find out.
And Peter can travel back and forwards in time, we've already seen claire attempt to shoot him, but he moved at the last minute- lucky break! So what's gonna happen now when he travels back?
And I don't think Mohinder should die either, although he's served his purpose I think we could see more of him and maya together, perhaps working together to drug Sylar, once Mohinder gets over the thing with his dad and the government.
And we should DEFINATELY see more of Lyle Bennet. He barely has a part in heroes as it is! Being Claire's brother is hardly a position in the series. We need to see him either commit crime or help Claire and her mum defeat Sylar and keep him away from their family.
LOL I DON'T WANT ANY CHARACTERS TO LEAVE HEROES OR KILLED OFF BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE I WOULD SAY MOHINDER BECAUSE HE HAS ALREADY DONE HIS JOB AND WHO KNOWS, MAYBE MAYA COULD TAKE OVER FROM HIS WORK. WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE. LOL DUNNO WHY I WROTE IN CAPITALS!

It's been confirmed by Greg Grunberg (sp?) that his character is not the one to die in the season finale. Mohinder's death is unlikely as he stayed behind at Coyote Sands. Angela is a possibility, but unlikely, she wouldn't face Sylar alone, and also, with her ability to dream the future, she could easily avoid such a confrontation.

I can virtually guarantee that the character who dies will be Nathan. Consider the storyline, he has already taken Nathan's form, but without Nathan's powers, he cannot truly replace Nathan. They confirmed that the 5 years gone future, minus the NY explosion, is beginning to unfold, so Nathan's death is 99% likely, in my opinion.

BTW, how did Sylar shapeshift into Nathan without the two meeting? My theory is that Sylar's control over the ability evolved to the point that physical contact is no longer required in order to shapeshift, OR, Sylar shapeshifted into someone close to Nathan and made physical contact with him, and it was not made known to us in earlier episodes. The latter is unlikely, as Nathan fled to Mexico before Sylar took that ability. I also have to consider that Sylar's control over an ability is often better than that of his victims. I'd say ability evolution is the answer.... unless... Sylar needs to make contact in order to absorb their appearance through DNA, however, DNA can be found on clothes, hair brushes, etc. Perhaps he simply took Nathan's appearance through "loose" DNA?

    Something to ponder...
  • Alice · 7 months ago
Yeah, Sylar is powerful enough to shapeshift without it looking/being painful. [Something the original shapeshifter couldn't do] so he's probably powerful enough to just shapeshift into Nathan without making contact with him.
  • UnsungHero · 7 months ago
I think your 'loose DNA' theory answers it best.
Not sure how it all chronologically works out, but here's the way I interpret it as happening:

Sylar busts into Nathan's office (talks with himself/mommy; touches nathan's stuff w/object memory---May or may not acquire nathan's ability through empathic understanding--but definitely has his mental homework done on nathan; surely enough to shapeshift into him)

Shapeshifts into nathan & does press conference

Nathan & Petrelli clan see televised conference in Coyote Sands

    Then finally,

    Sylar/Nathan/Danko.

It all happened so fast, so I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong. I'm almost certain there was some time-compression going on there, but as I said, that's how I processed it all.

maybe when sylar touches someone like claire everybody she has touched sylar can shapeshift into

I do not think that Nathan or Matt's going to die, because I feel that both of them have interesting storylines to build on in "Redemption:" Nathan's relationship with Claire and Peter, and Matt's relationship with his Son. So I think it's either going to be Angela or Suresh who dies. I can see how either of their deaths at the end of this season would offer a good, "ending" to their personal stories on heroes. Out of the other characters, both of them carry the most guilt regarding their past actions. I can see either of them sacraficing their lives to save the other heroes (and fall at the hand of Sylar?). Also, It would be interesting if Sylar kills Suresh, since he killed his father. Plus it would also add "meat" to Sylar's statement last week, that went something like "Maybe we can't escape the mistakes of our parents...I am my father's son."

Let me know what you think.
  • hope martin · 7 months ago
if Nathan dies then in the words of the person up front (i'll be mourning for days as well)
Nathan, is a character whom I've hated and loved in turns(kudus to Adrian Pasdar for making him so)
it's just the charm and cunning wit of his character and personality that just draws me to him. especially now in fugitives, his story line sounds rather romantic, ( all the mistakes and hypocrsy aside) the heroism and courage, confidence, bravery that he's shown I've grown to love him so much. I'll miss him so...:(

HRG will get the boot by Sylar this season and next season's blonde baddie is Claire.
  • Greenglenn · 7 months ago
I think that how sylar turned into nathan without touching him is that he concentrated hard on nathan's phsyical appreance and ended up succeding, but only to lead to the "identity crisis" that could be that story. Just a thought.

And the propsal with clarie?? wtf. Maybe he wants her to team up with him? Use her to destroy hrgs life? Maybe SHE wants to destroy hrgs life with the lies and deciet he caused to her. But with next volume being called redemption. It seems that everyone will be emphatic and sorry to everyone, this would lead to peter getting his powers back (as rumored claude is returning he could "train" peter again in next volume) and the petrelli's all leave their past behind them and seek reconciltion with each other, this would probably include nathan. Who knows (tim kring does lol)

Anyway it says that a charcter from season 1 dies, it also stated a while ago that a blonde female dies, and its been stated that Tracys is returning.? So could tracy return just to be killed? could this proposal thing kill claire (if she rejects to sylar and he gets pissed and kills her Lol) or claires mom? any other suggestions. Hiro and ando are taking down buliding 26 so its not them. Mohinder still in coyotte and looks like he got captured in a promo vid i seen an matt is chillin out with his son. So its a petrelli death. or micha??

cant see claude returning to be killed again. Lol thtd be crazing.

and the sylar shapeshfting into something crazy. Could he shape shift in to claude that'd be random. But im gonna go with mr.muggles.

Anyway, cAnt wait for the next 2 episodes, love the show. Cant wait for vol 5.

    from
sum random teen in ireland. (god that was long) Lol.

Ah, I failed to consider HRG. It is possible, more likely than Angela dying, and his character seems to have a simple 2 dimensional role lately. However, he is one of the few characters not to have an ability, but is still popular. I see his death as unlikely because of this. His role on Heroes is somewhat unique, and his history is open for exploration. Then again, exploring his history doesn't mean he would be needed in the present...

I dunno... I see his death as a strong possibility... but his character is somewhat important. Just as well, if Sylar proposes to Claire, He wouldn't kill her adopted father, because her obvious answer would be no, but then again, no part of me expects her to say yes. Perhaps he kills HRG after she declines? Sylar certainly has feelings of hatred towards HRG, but I think Sylar respects him as well. My final thought about this is that, for Claire, Sylar wouldn't kill HRG, at least, not at this time.

Here's my theoretical list of who Sylar is most likely to kill in the finale:

    #1. Nathan
    #2. HRG
    #3. Mohinder
    #4. Angela
    #5. Peter
    #6. Himself
    #7. Ando
    #8. Hiro
    #9. Claude
    #10. Mr. Muggles

I'm aware that Claude has been said not to be appearing this season, but it could be a bluff. IF Zachary Quinto was going to leave the show, taking invisibility, and combining it with his shapeshifting, will allow for him to disappear (No pun intended) from the show without him dying, but also allows for him to return at a later time.

I hope not though, Sylar is my favorite character.

One thing to note, Matt Parkman will not die in the finale, this was confirmed by Greg Grunberg himself. I heard rumors that Peter is confirmed to die this season, but I also heard rumors that he is confirmed for Redemption.
  • Meathook49 · 7 months ago
I think I just contradicted myself there...

What I meant was, While HRG's death is a strong possibility, I believe because of his unique character role that his death is as unlikely as it is possible.
  • greenglenn · 7 months ago
Yeah, i think that peter will surive for the next volume redemption. But he could die in that volume, that could be a story??

As well for HRG he is a real good charcter and hope is story continues to devlop and the whole divorce story is to great i mean when do you see a divorce on a superhero show. X-MEN?? lOL only joking..

But yeah anglea oculd be a possiblity the obvious is nathan too die but i hope the writer tricks us viewers into someone else dying. The president? Hes a big role in socitey a powerful postion. But hes not part of the show just a cameo Lol would be fun seeing sylar as the president with the real one locked up, or dead? That sounds like hitman there.. anywayz i still think a petrelli will die but who..?
  • alb · 7 months ago
I think it will be angela. After her dream in the church, she points to a picture of a mosaic angel, and says she dreamt of it.
  • renee · 7 months ago
i hope hayden will not be off the show i have seen this show from the first episode ok i like hayden on the show she bet not die i for one will never forgive heroes she is good!!

For anyone who doesnt know now, Sylar is able to shapeshift into Nathan becuase he touches his toothbrush. If you did know, good for you.
  • Ramzie · 7 months ago
This show is the best, it can't end i want at least 2 more seasons.

In terms of who's gonna die i think its out of Nathan/HRG because in the future claire is pissed about the death of her farther and they both are.

It would make more sence for it to be Nathan as future sylar can fly and Future Peter is more of a heartles caracter (witch i like).

    Nathan would be missed.

Damb i'v been tured into a heroes geek!
