"Not that we would mind"...oh, give me a break and cut the P.C. garbage. Anyone not with their heads up the backsides of the P.C. crowd certainly *would* mind. It'd be totally out of character for her, and family un-friendly, and viewed by most as a cheap attempt at a transient ratings boost, to boot. What, the roomie is gonna have the power to make those around her fall in lust with her...and that power then would work on Claire. Puh-leeze.

The "maybe more" will more than likely be that she'll have an ability (ie, they're both "special").
  • Sam · 5 months ago
The only one bringing "P.C. garbage" into this is you. I would suggest you leave your little political rants at home where it belongs.
  • bjamin128 · 5 months ago
Can you say ridiculous? As huge a Heroes fan as I am, I would stop watching right away if this lesbionic deal were the case.
  • SomeGuy · 5 months ago
First of all, you're all gay (it's just a small bad joke, don't take it litterally). A lot of Hayden fans don't really like her acting (I, for one, am not a huge fan) but think she's hot. This is a bonus for those fans and would make sense to get the ratings up to improve budget and a renewal and so forth. it's no 3d episode like Chuck was, but if they gotta do it I won't complain. Hell, I'm all for it lol.

But all that aside, yes the story should come first and that's the thing. how does that fit in character? Claire's had a different boyfriend every season. BUT, the whole "college phase" thing could fit in with this. It could be an "experimental" thing, not that she's goin all out lesbian.

And to the guy rejecting the "fall in lust" ability. i didn't really ever think about it but I think that ability would work on the show, but not like how you mentioned. Someone who can make other's fall in love with her, or make them think she's more attractive than she already is (I'm guessing for the girls, cause she's not bad looking). But, on top of that, make people want to trust her more. So that she has no problem getting people to do what she wants.
  • Heroesfan · 5 months ago
I agree, that would be hot
  • Kyle Maloney · 5 months ago
I wouldn't stop watching, I'm hopefully glued to this show till its completely dead, but I still really hope they don't go this route.
  • Tarot · 5 months ago
I'll keep watching too, even if they do this. But if they kill Claude, that's it.

As for Masi Oka's other project, that looks interesting.
  • Tarot · 5 months ago
I really hope they don't go the romance route with the "and maybe a little more." If Claire had been shown to like girls, I wouldn't care but to have Claire, who up to this point has been shown to like boys (West, Alex anyone?) to suddenly get involved with a girl just smacks of wrongness. I was hoping the "something more" was either the girl has a power and Claire and her share the secret or Claire uses her gift to heal/help the girl.
  • KingGenesis · 5 months ago
i am ALL for it. this is what i had hoped would happen. woohoooo/ if heroes does this. best show ever no matter how dumb the plot gets.
  • pjamese3 · 5 months ago
Well, you know that Claire could go LUG (Lesbian Until Graduation.) A lot of girls do.
  • arinna · 5 months ago
I don't like it and it's dumbest plot EVER!
  • hirosfan91 · 5 months ago
WTF??? Seriously? I have nothing against lesbians, heck, if they want to have one they should make a lesbian character. But Claire having a leasbian relationship would ruin her character. Thats not Claire. I actually kinda likes the idea of Sylar having a thing for Claire. Hopefully they just mean that these 2 chracters will become really good friends. Claire could sure use a girlfriend to back her up (in a sisterly way, like Hiro has Ando).
  • BiLLDoZeR · 5 months ago
I agree with you a sidekick heroic type of girl would be cool and being lesbian wouldn't be a bad thing, but Claire should not go that way.
  • Tarot · 5 months ago
I quite agree. If they want a lesbian, have it be an entirely new character and one who is not involved with one who has already been established as straight.
  • BiLLDoZeR · 5 months ago
Like any other male I enjoy a good lesbian scene but not on the only show I think is worth watching. And besides personally speaking if they were going to have Claire score a girlfriend I would hope they would pick someone a lot more attractive than skeletor up there. *Shivers* She is not attractive and it would be cool if they kill her character quick never seen her work and really don't want to.

They add this girl and girl crap I will lose respect for the show. It is a great show and I have denied it going down hill but this will mark the beginning of the downhill cycle for me. So yeah men and woman together. So gross when girls kiss each other. But Masi Oaka's project souds cool.

I been a way for a while but I had to comment on this.

First off what is the big deal with girl on girl, okay i get a lot of guys like that but really with all the ways to watch better girl on girl action do you really need to see it on a show like heros. I am almost 100% sure if it was to guys this show would be over by the next episode. Also it's not like you don't get enough of that stuff on every other teen base show.
  • Tarot · 5 months ago
It's not the "girl on girl action" I am objecting to is the CHARACTER INCONSISTENCY that I am objecting to.
  • tooSIMPLE · 5 months ago
Wait, Claire and another girl.................sweet =)
  • hirosfan91 · 5 months ago
I think we can all agree that none of us are objecting to having a lesian character. Thats not the issue, the issue is that Claire's chracter has already beeen established and to make such a dramatic change at this stage when Claire is finally starting to mature and not complain about how much her life sucks, it would just ruin everything. Its a complete 360, its like what Tarot said before, its all about chracter consistency. The writers have made this mistake before of thinking that they'll get ratings if they add some sex into the show. They tried with Maya and instead all the fans just got annoyed with her character. They should just stick with the direction that they are heading towards in the 4th season. Its been good so far.

Thank you. That is exactly what I meant.

NO EW im so sick of TV and their lesbian makings, if they make clair even slightly gay, even kiss a girl once, i will stop watching heroes. no offense, but im so sick of every show turning lesbian on us! greys anatomy = doctors turning lesbian left and right, desperate houswives = susan getting hit on by an old lesbian, no stop, we dont want to see it seriously! nothing against gays, peace out to all them, just we dont want claire gay ok? shes to CLAIREish to be lesbo. dont do it.

Some of you have a point but most are lacking imagination, collage is a time for new experiences and when some people discover who they really are. I like the idea of a girl having this power over others and too see what it does to her, maybe the girl is gay and has a hard time coming out and that manifests her ability...It worked for willow in Buffy the Vampire slayer and it was done in a very beautiful way too. We don't know what Clairs orientation is because she has not been exposed to a normal life since homecoming. 2 fly by guys don't make her strait either because she has no experience with anything other than the special people she has encountered and being able to deal with her own immortality has not immersed her into who she is as a person. As far as she knows she will live for ever that's a lot to take in for a teen just out of high school (How would any of us deal with this knowledge and most important how would it effect our life?)

Claire and another girl doesn't mean she is a lesbo either, my girlfriend is bisexual (something she discovered about her self in college) it doesn't make her a lesbian either we are very much in love with each other. For those of you who are gay think about how hard it was for you to meet people and just imagine how you would have used an ability to give you the edge if you had it...No different than the guy who develops supper sight because he wants to look over your shoulder to copy your answers on a test. Like it or not they are a part of society and should have a presence on tv just like any nationality, color or religion. The show would have no reality to it if there weren't people of a walks of life although predominantly white the show has recognized people of all walks of life...I am a Latino my self and think the show has more of a realistic view than ANY reality show.

Why do they have to put a homosexual in t.v. shows these days? I don't want to see that crap. Look at "Lost". Great show and no gays. "The Unit", awesome show and no gays. Keep it in the closet please

Although I believe this is primarily a ratings boosting exercise, I think it could potentially be a great addition to both Claire's character and the story arc. As many of you have said, college is usually the time that people start experimenting and it would certainly make sense from this perspective. As for it being inconsistent with Claire's character, I think it would make even more sense from this perspective - she has had far from a 'normal' teenage life so far, and as she mentions in one of the episodes, it's the first time she hasn't had to worry about being hunted by bad guys so this may give her time to explore her sexuality.

I also think if they followed through with the two girls actually falling in love, this could provide the necessary kick to push Calire to the dark side in the future scenes if Gretchen were to be killed off (having presumably no powers of her own). As commented by others, 2 guys don't make a straight, and there haven't really been any serious love interests.

Honestly, I don't know if some of you guys (Gary...) are homophobic or what, but I think it could potentially be making a decent point if it's executed well - Claire's 'normal' life includes her being gay. As for too many gays on tv, it's life so why shouldn't it be shown on tv too? The more it is, the more people will get over themselves and start to accept that some people are gay and many people have a first experience before considering that they might be.

Whichever route they take, at the end of the day it probably will boost the ratings at least temporarily, which should be good news for any true fans of the show!
